We have a current temperature of 66° under clear and dark skies. Those skies are not expected to become a "Dark and stormy night", or day, until Friday when a 60% chance of T-storms is in the forecast from the NWS. We are expecting a high later today of 65° under sunny skies. It should be a great day to walk STWD to her doctor's appointment for her "Senior Wellness Exam." Since her appointment is @ 10:15 a.m. right here in "The City", we'll have no problem making the six block walk there and back.
Yesterday's sports news was very mixed. Cubs won, Tigers off, beloved Red Sox won, and the Caps lost. 1st place, 2nd place, 2nd place, 4th place. Games tonight @ 8:05 p.m., 7:10, 10:10 p.m., and 7:05 p.m. N. L. Central, A. L. Central, A. L. East, Midwest League East.
Yesterday, I rode my bike to the channel to watch the U. S. and Canadian Coast Guard vessels arrive @ 1:00 p.m. The usual crowds were on hand @ both the arrival ceremony and @ Pronto Pup™.
While I am not Cecille B. DeMille, I may be Cecille C-. DeMille when it comes to my video recordings, I'll let you be the judge of the following video footage that is raw and unedited. They show the channel prior to the arrivals of the Canadian Coast Guard Service cutter Constable Carriere, 837317, which is used for the policing of coastal waters in Canada, and the U. S. Coast Guard cutters Morro Bay, 106, an Ice Breaking tugboat, the Mobile Bay, 103, an Ice Breaking cutter, and the Hollyhock, 214, a sea-going buoy tender. In addition, I've included some random footage of the crowds and the regular channel traffic.
I hope that you enjoyed the show.
Other than the safari to the intrepid one's doctor's appointment, not much is on tap. Mary will be working, and I'll be reading.
The sun will rise today @ 6:36 a.m. and set @ 9:04 p.m. Ciao
