Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 3:30 a.m. in "The City." Currently the temperature outside the Weather Window is 61° and the Weather Roof is dry, as we head down to an overnight low of 60°. Unlike Tuesday, when the T-storms didn't start until about 1:30 p.m., today the forecast is for a 0% chance of rain and a high of 71°. Tomorrow looks about the same. Friday is another story, as the chance of T-storms increases to 80%. So that means two things to me. First, I won't have to water the gardens on the palatial estate. Two, Sugar the Weather Dog won't have to be tricked into going out until Friday.
I had my final P/T appointment at the hospital yesterday. I decided to walk and Mary thought she would walk along with Sugar. By the time Mary was able to convince Sugar to go out, I had about 15 minutes to make the 20 minute walk to the Hospital. I made it a bit late, but everything went well and I was discharged from therapy. Now I just have to keep up on my exercises to maintain both strength and flexibility. It is more likely that the strength part will be easier. As I get older, the flexibility becomes more problematical. Sigh.
Otherwise, not much was happening yesterday. Mostly I did a couple of crosswords and sat around. Once it was time to go to lunch, I was spent from too long walks in the morning. Mary was disappointed, as she wanted to walk downtown. However, as we were arriving in the downtown area by car, the skies opened up, and I think I saw a large ship go by filled with animals. There were cats and rats and elephants.. well you get the idea. We ate lunch at our favorite watering hole and then headed home. The rain had stopped, that ship had docked, and the skies had calmed. I'll have to check with Dick Fox about that ship sighting.
We had an early dinner, I watched an episode of my favorite show, NCIS, and then it was time for bed. That's where I was until I got up to blog, Mary had an advantage over me, as she had napped earlier in the day. So when she came to bed, that nap had invigorated her. She was wide awake and I wasn't. Now it's my turn.
In sports, the boys in blue won another. This time the score was 5 - 2 over the Reds. My beloved Red Sox made it two in a row over the Blue Jays, in their case 11 - 7. The Tigers defeated the Yankees, 5 - 2 behind another fine pitching performance by Rick Porcello. The Caps were less fortunate, losing 3 - 5 to the South Bend Rail Cats.
Today, we have someone coming to help with the house cleaning. As Adam says, sometimes you have to make accommodations to keep your yak in shape. I am willing to try. I like to think that I do a good job of housekeeping over the course of a couple of days, but concessions sometimes have to be made.
So I think I'll take time to mow the lawns of the estate and later in the day, get together with the girls. Speaking of which, my physical therapist is also a player, so I told him about our monthly jam sessions and invited him to come.
That looks like enough for now, Ciao.
