Good morning GH. It is just past 6:30 a.m. in The City. What a great night I had. I fell asleep about 11:30 last night and I just woke up a few minutes ago. For me, that's a lot of sleeping. Our current temperature is 69° and that is about as low as it will get before we rebound to today's steamy high of 78°. Sunday looks about the same. No precipitation and partly cloudy skies. Today the sun will rise at 6:54 a.m., just a short time from now.

Mary announced last evening that it was time to close the windows and turn the A/C back on. It looks like it will be on until Wednesday when the humidity drops along with the daily temperatures. I won't complain, because this has been a very comfortable summer season. However, this winter is supposed to be very cold in the northeastern U.S., according to the Old Farmer's Almanac.

Friday was a productive day. I reorganized the man-cave and got it more to my liking. I finished installing the new door sweep on the rear storm door, which actually was just a matter of aligning it to fit. Sugar and I had a great walk in the morning, although she must have been feeling a disturbance in the force, as she seemed to be initially reluctant to go out.

I got all of the music transcribed that I had planned to do and then I printed out the latest indexing project. Unfortunately, the printer and I were not communicating, and so while I wasn't looking, it spewed about 300 sheets of paper onto the floor. I had to organize them, check them for page order, and flatten them out. I thought I had clicked the right button, but I guess that I didn't.

In sports, the boys in blue successfully out slugged the Orioles 4 - 1. My beloved Red Sox lost once again to the Mariners, 3 - 5. The Tigers, they were in Minnesota to take on the Twins. Too bad that the Tiger's offense and pitching failed to show up. By the time the game was over, the dome had fallen on the Tigers, as the Twins rocked the Tigers 6 - 20. The World Series™ is slipping away. The Caps enjoyed a win over the Dayton Dragons, 3 - 2.

Today, I plan to do more reading, more playing with the girls, and advanced food preparation, Mary has a lot of work to do, and so I am once again on my own. She took time out yesterday to prepare breakfast and dinner, but today, she has to put her nose to the grindstone. Sugar and I will survive.

That's enough for yesterday and today. The sun will set at 8:36 this evening. I'll enjoy my second day off. Ciao.
