Good early morning GH. It is just past 12:00 AM in "The City" and the current temperature is 35 degrees under cloudy skies. Coincidentally, 35 is our anticipated high for today. It looks like Wednesday will be the worst with regard to snow and bad weather.

With regard to the weather, when Mary and I went out to the big box hardware store, the big box electronics store, the big box retailer, and then home, the blowing snow and biting cold was not pleasant. We did get the monitor that I wanted, but that will need Mary's help to set up, because I haven't a clue how to attach it to my laptop. She has done it before, so I am sure she will say something along the lines of "How hard can it be?" For someone who has trouble setting his watch in the spring and fall, you'd be amazed.

We also got some cleaning supplies to take us through the next several weeks. Mary also got some new gloves that she hopes will be better than her old ones. She doesn't have the same problems as I with cold hands, but she has been frostbitten in the past, so she loses circulation in her hands sometimes.

Speaking of the big box electronics store, Mary and I saw what must be the dumbest people in the world there. They had set up an ice fishing shack and a tent at the door of the store to be ready for the black Friday sales that begin at 6:00 PM on Thanksgiving day. Keep in mind, that this was Monday afternoon. These people were planning to sit there for three and one-half days in the cold and snow to save money on televisions or something.

They were the first, but we doubt that they will be the last. I may wait in line to get money, I will never wait in line to give it. Someone at our favorite watering hole remarked later that for tickets to your favorite band, maybe you'd wait in line. However, that isn't something that I would do today. I am not sure I would have done it forty years ago.

Today I have to go for my final knee treatment and some tests before my surgery next week. I am not looking forward to the surgery and rehab, but I am looking forward to being pain free in a few months. Otherwise, I have to finish the laundry and then read more. I don't have anything better to do. Even Sugar the Weather Dog has someone to walk her for a few months. She and I will have to content ourselves with lap time for a while.

The painters should be here today, because they didn't call or come yesterday. Hopefully, this will be their last visit. I want my media room back. As I recall they were waiting for the paint match to be ready, so that may explain the delay.

It is time for me to return to bed, because that's where I belong. Tea time will be along in the morning after the Sun rises at 7:51 AM. Ciao.
