Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation, and across the world. It is just after 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

According to the NWS, the current temperature is 62° under partly clear skies. My DTWS shows 64º on both the front porch and on the deck. Also according to the NWS, light winds of 8 mph make it feel like 61°. Today's high temperature is forecast to be  sultry 81º under sunny skies with a relative humidity index of 56% and a 0% chance for precipitation. That 81º mark is above normal for this time of year. Tomorrow, Katie bar the door, because the forecast from the NWS calls for a high temperature of 88º! And we won't have A/C.

According to my DTWS, the barometric pressure is 29.42" and falling, while the NWS is reporting 30.02", also falling. Generally, those readings indicate foul weather is coming and the NWS is forecasting T-storms @ 50% for Wednesday.

The sun will rise this morning @ 6:05 a.m. and it will set later @ 9:22 p.m.

A Gale Watch will be in effect from Tuesday evening until sometime Wednesday evening. South winds to 30 knots early Tuesday night, will increase to southwest gales up to 40 knots overnight and continuing into Wednesday. Waves will be building to 7 to 10 feet from St Joseph to Manistee.

As we all know, strong winds can cause hazardous waves that could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. The strongest winds are expected during the mid to late morning hours of Wednesday. Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and waves.

I just finished making some of Mary's favorite, vegan Italian meatballs. Earlier in the day, we collaborated on vegan bologna. Why is it that every time I say the word bologna, I hear this old commercial jingle in my head?

Early yesterday, I put my novel into regular spacing, I.e. single-spaced. I moved all of the chapter beginnings to a new page and now I have to decide whether to rest on my laurels or whether to self publish. Decisions, decisions.

Today, I have some watering to do in the vast gardens of the palatial estate before I head over to the optometrist in Spring Lake.

Speaking of Spring Lake, Stan's Bar there will be opening their doors for business @ 12:00 noon. Of course, they are supposed to be mindful of the social distancing requirements, but we're talking people who will be drinking copious amounts of adult beverages. What could possibly go wrong?

Mary and I won't be going there any time soon.

Otherwise, we have nothing on tap for today. Ciao.
