Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is jut past 3:00 a.m. in "The City."

The NWS is reporting a current temperature of 69° as we drop to an overnight low of 67° under cloudy-skies. They have also forecast a 40% chance for scattered T-storms today around 6:00 a.m. Since I watered our vast gardens yesterday, it is probable that that is just wishful thinking on their part. Here on the shores of the "Big Lake", the weather is less predictable than inland just a few miles. As the day wears on, today's forecast calls for a high-temperature of 80°. That's after the sun rises @ 6:14 a.m. and before it sets @ 9:25 p.m.

Since it is summer, and I am listening to Coast to Coast AM and host George Noory, I heard him segue from one segment to another with this Frank Sinatra tune. It seems apropos for a summer's day.

Since I was at the YouTube™ site for a link to Summer Wind, the tune that followed was this one, also from Sinatra, from the musical, Guys and Dolls, entitled Luck Be A Lady Tonight, a flashback for me to when Ed and his drama students along my stage and tech crew, presented this musical. Hope you like both tunes.

Gee, since I was still at the YouTube™ site, I listened to this version of Gentle on My Mind, a song written by the late John Hartford, and a hit for Campbell, as he sat with some of the all-time greats of country music. So, I'll add that link too. A musical night I guess. I own and play two Ovation guitars, similar to the one Campbell is playing in the video, but I'll never play as well as Glen Campbell. Sigh.

There is a dearth of baseball news from yesterday. The American League defeated the National League in the 2019 All-Star game, 4 - 3. All my teams are off until Friday.

Yesterday was busy. We traveled to the hospital for a salad bar lunch and then a visit to my orthopedist for the third of my five knee injections. That visit went smoothly and we were on our way to Muskegon for an appointment with the yak doctor. He was way behind schedule. I have a future appointment for an evaluation of my chronically aching yak and the possibility of further treatment. As Adam always says, "It is about your quality of life." It was fortuitous that we boarded Ginger for the afternoon. STWD is fine being alone, but Ginger has those "Separation Issues."

Today, I have nothing on tap with the exception of some art and reading. I think I'll sit down on my stool and play with "The Girls" as soon as I am done here. Mary will be going to the farmer's market and then to the grocery store for a few items. I'll be staying home with the fur-children. Ciao

6:41 a.m. Addendum. for once, the NWS got it right. I was reading, so I didn't notice, but it actually did start to rain around 6:00 a.m. It is raining now. I won't have to water and I can cling to my belief that it rained because I watered yesterday.
