We have a current temperature of 30° as we rise towards today's high of 36° under cloudy skies. A light snow fell overnight that added to the travel times this morning as people hopefully adjusted their travel times for safety. The sun is due to rise this morning @ 6:59 a.m. and set later this evening @ 8:29 p.m. There is a scant chance of additional precipitation of only 20%. As the week progresses, the daily high temperatures will continue to rise towards the 50s by Sunday. However, the highs will stay in the low 50s for an extended period of time after that.
By way of information, I took some pictures around the PE of the snowy conditions that are in existence here and in much of the upper part of the nation right now.
Sad to say, the gardens of the PE are snow-covered right now. |

Speaking of Boston, the women's Boston Marathon was won by a woman from Charlevoix, MI, Desiree Linden, the first U.S. winner sine 1986. Her time was 2:39:53 in conditions that were not much better than we are currently experiencing here in Michigan.

The only trainspotting was a truck that belongs to a private contractor that is tasked with checking the rails for proper spacing etc.
I never got around to changing the strings on the girls, although I received the new ones yesterday. Maybe today.
Later today, I am off to the second appointment of five at the orthopedist for my knees. I'll be 2/5 of the way there after today. I am also going to a new podiatrist later this afternoon for my quarterly checkup. No concerns at this time. Ciao.
