Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:00 p.m. in "The City", where the skies have been cloudy and rainy all day, but they were clear when I took STWD for a short walkabout. around 4:45 p.m. The NWS is forecasting more rain to roll in around 5:45. As the night changes to day, the rain will totally taper off and there will only be about an 8% chance for additional showers tomorrow.
The high tomorrow will be a brisk 54° with an overnight low of 40° Fortunately, there is a warmup on the way and we expect to see 60° plus from then until Sunday, May 15, when we drop back into the upper 50s. All in all, the cooler temperatures and the rain have benefited the flora of both the manse and the entire W. MI area. One side note, we are having part of our shared driveway rebuilt and today's rain has caused a one-day setback. The sun will set today @ 8:49 p.m. before rising again tomorrow @ 6:32 a.m. and setting later tomorrow night @ 8:50 p.m.
Not much is happening here at the manse. With all of the rain, we have been ear reading, cross-stitching, and reading from Elie Mystal's book. Allow Me to Retort, A Black Guy's Guide To The Constitution, and my latest novel by C.J. Box, Shadows Reel. The newspapers were delivered earlier, but they were rain-soaked, so we had to lay them out to dry.
All in all, it has been a slow day around here and that's fine with me.
The Caps versus the Lugnuts was postponed in Lansing due to the weather conditions, causing a lot of canceled field trips.
All of my Major League™ teams are playing later tonight, but with the weather conditions, the Tigers in Detroit and the Cubs in Chicago may also be postponed. The Red Sox are in Boston tonight and as of now, the forecast looks like overcast skies but no rain.
That's all folks. Ciao.
