Today's high temperature is forecast by the NWS to reach 49° with an overnight low temperature of 45°.
Let me say that baseball may be life, but right now, I am glad that it isn't necessary for baseball to be my life support because the teams that I follow are all under .500.
The Caps split a doubleheader yesterday, losing the game that had been postponed from Saturday to the Loons, 1 - 3, but taking game two, 8 - 2. The 8 - 13 Caps are off until Tuesday when they travel to Lansing to meet the 7 - 10 Lansing Lugnuts for a game @ 11:05 a.m. That start time indicates a "Field Trip" day for the local schools in the Lansing area.
The 7 - 14 Tigers fell to the superior 14 - 7 Dodgers in LaLa land yesterday afternoon, 3 - 6 in spite of Miggy getting his first home run of 2022. The Tigers are also off until Tuesday when they welcome the 9 - 13 Pirates to Comerica Park for a 7:10 p.m. start.
My beloved 9 - 14 Red Sox can't seem to right their ship, as they lost once again to the 8 - 14 Orioles, 5 - 9. The beloved are also off until Tuesday when they return to Fenway Park to host the 15 - 8 Angels @ 7:10 p.m.
The 9 - 13 Cubs struggled mightily in Milwaukee over this past weekend, only taking one game from the 15 - 8 Brewers. Marcus Stroman actually looked like the second coming of Cy Young yesterday as he pitched a 2 - 0 shutout. The Cubs are also off until Tuesday when they welcome that other 8 - 13 team from Chicago, for a night game beginning @ 7:40 p.m.
Otherwise, I had a nice ukulele session last night and we listened to our latest ear read over meals. We also accomplished those aforementioned indoor chores too. Mary decided that that ear read that I couldn't get into was fine for her, but our latest co-ear read is more to my liking, so she kept the other and I am just fine with that.
Mostly, today promises to be a more relaxed day as the skies will reflect the mood of the country, gray and cloudy. Ciao.
