Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 9:00 p.m. in "The City.

We had a great day today, if you discount that Coviud-19 pandemic thing. We got up late, did some TV viewing while eating our brunch, and then took a trip sans the fur-children to a couple of places here in GH. We made a short stop at the library to pick up my books and then moved onward.

Our first stop was at the Lake Forest cemetery to take the stairs that leads to the Ferry Family burial plots.

Leaves covered the steep steps that led up to the Ferry Family plot.

Naturally, going down is more difficult, like the steps at a lighthouse.

The Ferry Family has many members interred there.

But they have company.

And more than one marker.

Members of the White Family share the grounds too.

As does the member of the family who died inthe Battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863.

The Ferry Family for whom Ferry St. in GH is named are also for whom the adjacent City of Ferrysburg is named.

Mary took along her camera and she took some interesting pix too.

I think her shot of the steep stairs is great and better than mine!

Green, but what? Moss?

Good subject material produces great pix!

Mary focused more on the White Family part of the burial area.

Once we'd had our time at the Ferry plot, we moved on to the channel area of the waterfront in GH. Mary pulled over to allow me to take a shot of an interesting machine making its way down the channel towards Lake Michigan.

I believe that this machine is for dredging sand from the mouth of the channel.

Once again, we moved on to another locale, Harbor Island, home to the shuttered BLP Sims Power Plant.

Slowly, but steadily, the plant is being razed.

It will be a long process to rid the area of the coal dumped onto the grounds for decades.

But, you can get another angle on Dewy Hill from the plant.

The waterfowl love swimming in the nearby channel. These were Canada Geese

While these were the swans that like swimming and eating there too.

The swans must have found something to eat. as they were seen with their heads underwater.

Unbeknownst to me, Mary took some shots of yours truly while I was focused elsewhere.

The right subject nets you great pix.

Finally, it was time to head home and get to work in the kitchen. I made another batch of my soon to be famous vegan Italian burgers and some vegan bratwursts.

We also took time to rearrange some of our cabinets and the pantry to accommodate some recent additions to our larder and some new drinking glasses. We've lived here over nine years, but we are still making changes to our abode and storage.

Finally, it was time to sit down and do nothing before Mary prepared our dinner of my burgers and our Coleslaw. We watched another episode of Lark Rise to Candleford  prior to dinner and then watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy while enjoying our repast.

We have a current temperature of 41° that feels like 37° with a six mph wind blowing. In addition, the NWS is reporting that the barometric pressure is 30.05" and falling, while my DTWS is reporting 29.40" and rising. Once again,.go figure.

We currently have a Small Craft Advisory in effect from St. Joseph to Manistee until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. Winds will start out @ 15 to 25 knots from the southwest, and then shift to the northwest @ 20 - 30 knots that will produce waves from four to seven feet in height.

We haved no specific plans for tomorrow. That's as it should be when you are retired. The sun will rise @ 7:34 a.m. and set later @ 5:23 p.m. Ciao.
