Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just after 6:00 a.m. in "The City."
I'd like to start with some pictures of yesterday's activities, but as usual, they are on the Smart Phone and in my email, but I have no idea how to retrieve them. So, I can't/won't
We have a current temperature of 43° according to the display on the DTWS. I was just outside around 5:00 a.m. with GTWD and I can confirm that the temperature, while not warm, is comfortable when you dress appropriately, The NWS is reporting a current temperature of 42° under cloudy skies. That same forecast calls for a high today of 47° with clouds in the morning and sunshine in the afternoon. The sun will rise soon @ 7:52 a.m. and set later @ 5:12 p.m. Monday and Tuesday have a forecast for highs in the 50s, but there is a chance of rain tomorrow of 60%.
I am going to take the day off today and do some reading, music organization, and a bit of painting in the man-cave. I stayed home early yesterday afternoon to watch the beginning of what turned out to be a Michigan Wolverine's loss to the Buckeyes of "The Ohio State University" by a final score of 27 - 30. However, as a transplanted "Homer" I believe as do the announcers, that Michigan was jobbed by the zebras in that loss. Staying home meant that Mary and Ginger walked to the local big-box home center and picked up the chalkboard paint I'll be using later today in the man-cave. Apparently, Ginger was the hit of the day at the store as she rode in the basket.
The Spartans of MSU were drubbed by the Nittany Lions of Penn State 12 - 45. That means the Nittany Lions are now the #7 team overall with a 10 - 2 record and a record of 8 - 1 in the Big 10 that matches the Buckeyes #2 overall record. The Wolverines fell to 10 - 2 overall, but 7 - 2 in the Big 10 and #3 overall. Sadly, the Wolverines are likely to get a bowl bid, but not a shot at the national championship. Plus, once again, they lost to the Buckeyes. Sigh.
Later today, the 2 - 8 Chicago Bears face the 5 - 6 Tennessee Titans @ 1:00 p.m. That will not be a great game which is why I can devote my time to other pursuits. Also, sigh.
Mary and I went to a presentation @ Hemlock Crossing County Park yesterday regarding wild turkeys. We learned a great deal and took a short walk through the trials of the park. That was one reason why I wanted to include some pictures. If I had taken my camera, you'd be seeing them now, but alas, they are seemingly locked into the phone forever, or at least until I can figure out how to retrieve them. We also saw a very cute Corgi, Peanut, while walking the trails.
That looks like enough for now. Ciao.
