Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 3:30 a.m. in "The City", and I am listening to Coast to Coast A.M. Host George Noory was interviewing Ann C. Barham, a licensed family and marriage therapist, who is also a certified regression therapist, as she tried to explain the past life experiences of some callers. It would take too long to fully explain, but it was interesting. Afterwards, George took calls from all manner of interesting audience members. As I've mentioned in past blogs, Coast to Coast A.M. was the inspiration for my opening line. The guests have moved on to discussing their past lives as witches in Salem, MA, among other things.
It is worthy of note, that there is a video attached to the Coast to Coast A.M. web site that purportedly shows Bigfoot running across a field as captured by a drone camera. I can't see him/her, but who knows. Judge for yourself. http://www.coasttocoastam.com/article/watch-running-bigfoot-filmed-by-drone/
Yesterday it was very cool all day. Right now the temperature is a brisk 49° according to the NWS. That's just two degrees less than the temperature being reported by the DTWS. The NWS is forecasting a high for today of 66°. By tomorrow, we are supposed to get into the 70° range and then by Friday and Saturday, the 80° range is forecast to return. However, no rain is expected until a 50% chance of T-storms on Saturday. Given the cool temperatures, we should be able to wait on watering the gardens of the PE until Thursday.
Sports news yesterday was mixed. The Cubs lost to the Phillies, 2 - 3, as their bats once again fell asleep. The Cubs still have a record of 40 - 17, and a firm hold on 1st place in the N. L. Central, 8.5 games ahead of the 2nd place Pirates. Jorge Soler is once again on the D. L. with a hamstring injury. This is Soler's third trip to the D. L. for various and sundry injuries. The Cubs called up Albert Almora from triple A Iowa to fill Soler's roister spot. Almora is a big bat outfielder with solid numbers at Iowa.
The Tigers are moving on up in the A. L. Central. Their 3 - 2 victory over the Blue Jays has moved the Tigers up to 2nd place, 2.5 games behind the Indians. Who knew?
My beloved Red Sox took 10 innings, but a run scoring single by Xander Bogaerts in the top of the 10th inning produced a 5 - 3 win over the Giants, thus ending the Giants' five game winning streak. That still leaves the Sox in 2nd place in the A. L. East, .one-half game behind the Orioles.
The Caps defeated the Great Lakes Loons, 5 - 0. The Caps are still in 2nd place in the M/ W. L. East, one game behind the South Bend Cubs.
We didn't do much yesterday other than walk with STWD and pick up the newspaper. I finished all of the papers, read my novel, did some crosswords, and also made some household repairs. A real feat with one hand. Later, Mary chatted with her group and then made a vegan roast beest in the oven. I had some of the beest for dinner, and I like the new way she has for preparing it. Later in the afternoon, we traveled to the chiropractor for our weekly appointments.
When we got home, I got tired, and then drifted off to sleep with the intrepid one in my lap in the La-Z-Boy, until Mary came down from her office. She had been doing some correspondence regarding a knitting class she signed up to take. She urged me to go up to the media room and then off to bed. I was glad to go. Mary was glad too as she got the La-Z-Boy for knitting and working on her rug project. To paraphrase the late Ernie Banks of the Cubs, I think we need two.
Today, we have a series of stops to make after the morning safari and breakfast. Those stops will be enough for me. The sun will rise at 6:05 a.m. and set at 9:23 p.m. Ciao.
