I love an opportunity to follow the KISS formula, you know, "Keep it short and sweet." So here goes.

Current temperature, 62°. Today's high. 69°. Precipitation, steady rain yesterday afternoon, rain returns again at 40% between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. Watering, not needed until Tuesday. Balance of week, high temperatures in the upper 60°s to mid 70°s, albeit with limited rain.

Sports, Cubs still in 1st place with a N.L.Central record of 39 - 15 following a win over the D'Backs, 5 - 3. Tigers, dispatched that other team from Chicago and their "Ace Pitcher", 7 - 1. A.L. Central record now 27 - 28, but still in 4th place. Beloved Red Sox, back to 1st place in the A.L. East, with a slim 1.0 game lead over the Orioles, with record of 33 - 23 for the Sox. Caps, lost to the South Bend Cubs, 1 - 2. Back to a statistical tie with those same Cubs, and a Caps record of 32 - 21 in the M.W. L. East.

Activities, made it to the big-box most everything store. It actually went well. Good cashier at the end of the trip. We got up late. Had diner at 22 Below, came home, went to bed.

Today, watch CBS Sunday Morning and then do whatever after a walk with STWD. I hope to read two day some newspaper and more novel, after STSD and I make our famous banana nut bread. Mary will be knitting or otherwise crafting, while mostly staying out of my way in her kitchen. I will need help with our manual "Immersion Blender." I believe that she wants to try a new recipe for vegan Mongolian beef after a breakfast of a bagel with a schmear plus onion and tomato during our TV viewing.
