Good early morning GH. I think this will be short blog, as I am awake, but I don't know what I might have to say. One of the good things about being the Senior Editor and reporter for my blog is that I can decide what the content should be and then edit what I don't like. I used to work at a place where I could fill in for a subordinate and order all of the things that I thought I'd like to have. Then, I could go back to my regular office and turn down those requests.
It was like getting a three-fer with leftovers. First, you feel good about not overeating. Then, you feel good about saving the food instead of throwing it away. Finally, when you do throw the leftovers away weeks later, you feel good about saving lives and not eating the same food you had saved because it might have gone bad.
Anyway, I have digressed once again. Our current indoor temperature here in the Weather Center/Music Room/ Press Room/Editorial Office is 70 degrees. Outdoors, on the streets of our fair city and on the grounds of our palatial estate, the temperature is 60. We had quite a bit of precipitation on Tuesday, mostly in the afternoon right after Sugar the Weather Dog and I got back from our afternoon walk. She and I felt a few drops during our walk, and I also felt some earlier while out on my bicycle. It never really got warm here in the big city. Today we are expecting a high of 75 with a 40% chance of T-storms.
I did a couple of the items on my personal to-do list on Tuesday. I fixed the drawer slides in Mary's craft room and I fixed the ceiling light in the upstairs bathroom. Then, I was done for the day. Like I always say, there is always tomorrow. Speaking of today, I think I need to go to the Farmer's Market here in town. We'll see. Otherwise, I finished drying the old paint and getting ready for the trash pick-up. However, since the pick-up normally occurs on Thursday, which is the Fourth of July, I am not certain when that pick-up will actually happen. I guess I'd best find out. Probably Friday.
In sports, the boys in blue fell to Oakland 7 - 8. They also traded Carlos Marmol to the Dodgers and other players to the Orioles, a busy day. More players are likely to be dealt in light of the fact that they are going nowhere this season. The Tigers topped the Bluejays 7 - 6. My beloved Red Sox got the Padres by a 4 - 1 score. The Caps topped the Great Lakes Loons 4 - 3.
Otherwise, not much else is happening. It is once again time for bed and later...Tea time. I made more music on Tuesday afternoon and that always feels good. With Mary working downstairs to rest her ankle, I had the upstairs to myself. Ciao.
