Speaking of things

Good afternoon GH. We are fast closing on 1:00 PM here in our increasingly quiet city. The current temperature in the Editorial Office is showing 81 degrees, while outside the temperature is 76. The humidity has dropped some and there is a nice breeze blowing. Sugar the Weather Dog is resting comfortably in the living room after our long morning walk to the waterfront.

I watered the gardens on our palatial estate and that almost ensures a rain shower. I won't know until it happens. I have more work to do for Mary, and some laundry to finish, but that's about it. I am taking the day off from music making and that will give me more time.

In sports, the boys in blue handled the Pirates 4 - 1. The Tigers pounded the Tribe, 9 - 4. and have a 3 1/2 game lead over that same Tribe from Cleveland. My beloved Red Sox fell to the Angels 7 - 9, but they are maintaining a nice lead in their division with 5 games over the Yankees. The Caps eked out a win, 4 - 3, over the Loons of Lake County.

Otherwise, not much is happening. Laundry, work for Mary and that's about it. So time to say, ciao.
