Good morning GH. It is fast closing on 8:30 AM here in our fair city and the view out the Weather Window is vastly improved over some previous days. The sun is on the the rise and the sky is mostly cloud free. Currently our temperature is 31 degrees, and we may get to 39 later today. Not bad for "spring." One of those little grammar anomalies; seasons are generally not capitalized, unlike days of the week or months of the year.
Speaking of later today, Mary and I plan to see a documentary movie that deals with the changes in the polar ice caps and the shrinking of the glaciers. How's that for uplifting? I have to decide between one of those green milkshakes that I enjoy once year, or some popcorn at the movie. Decisions, decisions. For Mary it would be a no-brainer. No choice required; neither would be fine with her. For me, not so much a no-brainer as a choice between a once-a-year "treat" that actually is, once-a-year, and something I can get every time we go to a movie.
We spent quite a bit of time reading the New York Times yesterday, an always enjoyable experience. I got info on some good looking books, and of course reinforcement of some things I already believe. However, it takes several hours of time I could have spent shopping at a big box store. Once again, decisions, decisions. : - ).
Sugar the Weather Dog is still sound asleep next to the bed. She can be so funny about her sleeping arrangements. We spent a lot of lap time yesterday, both up and downstairs, and let me just say that trying to read the paper around a dog sleeping in your lap can be difficult. But, to borrow another musical lyric, "I wouldn't have missed it for the world."
So, time to get on with my day and just enjoy the beauty of the world at large. Temperatures are on the rise, spring may actually spring, and once again, Sugar and I will be able to enjoy the "Bone Zone." All in all, unlike W.C. Fields purportedly said, I wouldn't rather be in Buffalo.
Tea time, Ciao.
