Good early morning GH. I took the day off yesterday because I really didn't have much to say. Plus with UP w/ Chris Hayes to watch for the first two waking hours and then the N.Y. Times to be read, there just wasn't enough day left. Of course, those activities were coupled with going to see a nice little movie at our local movie house called Safe Haven, starring Julianne Hough and Josh Duhamel. I didn't know it, but Julianne Hough is an accomplished ballroom dancer and a country singer with a nice list of film credits at her young age. For Mary, and I must admit myself a bit, it was a real tear jerker. The movie had an interesting twist, but I won't do a spoiler. Instead, I recommend seeing this movie. I think you'll like it if you are into romances.
Today's weather promises to be a mixed bag. A high of about 35 degrees, going up from our current temperature of 11 degrees. Brrrr! By Tuesday, we are expecting anywhere from one to four inches of snow. Like I commented to Mary, and in general, "Enough already!" Mary seems to think that that with the temperatures rising to the mid-forties by Wednesday, that I won't have to move any of it, but with Sugar wanting to take me for a walk, it does complicate things a bit. Currently the view out the Weather Window is dark. There's a surprise for 4:30 AM. Sugar the Weather Dog wouldn't come to bed last night when I did, because Mary was still downstairs and I was upstairs, and so Sugar had to stand guard for us both. Life as a dog can be tough. I am her pawferred human, but when it comes to taking care of the two of us, Sugar knows what she must do.
I forgot to mention that we stopped by the Post on Saturday afternoon, and the place filled up with people as we neared 5:00 PM. It was amazing to see.
I have a book or two to pick up at the library, and I am hoping to get Mary to go with Sugar and I on our morning sojourn so that I can accomplish that task. I have a couple of books out now, but I don't know how much I really want to read them. Sometimes I get lazy and just want some pulp to go with my reading.
Mary and I are currently working on our Michigan jigsaw puzzle. But, Mary has a job to finish, so I will make as much progress as I can. Sometimes it is nice to have a second set of eyes. I will have to get out my tape measure to see what size I am approaching in order to judge my progress. I know that's a bit like cheating, but sometimes you do what you gotta do.
So, until it is...Tea time and I am ready for my morning walk with Sugar, I'll just end by saying, Ciao.
