Good morning GH. Wow, it actually is morning. It is now about 8:45 AM here in our fair city, and I can actually see the view out the Weather Window. It is partly cloudy and the current temperature is 21 degrees. Not bad for early March, and much better than the folks in the Chicago and Minneapolis areas are either experiencing or soon to experience. For at least today, I am glad to be on the good side of the "Big Lake."
Today, I plan on some guitar playing, letting Sugar the Weather Dog take me for a walk, and some reading. Sugar and I have to go to the post office sometime in the next couple of days to mail a return, but that isn't an emergency.
I have been making progress, with some help from Mary, on the Michigan puzzle that Mary and I have been working on. It has a lot of pieces, as do most puzzles, and so the progress is slow until you get the edge pieces organized and in place. Mary and I have found most of those edge pieces, but not all. As Mary says, "There are a lot of pieces in this puzzle, and it is meant to take time."
We received our tickets to Road America yesterday. I am excited about our trip to the racetrack. We have rented a golf cart, and that will be a blessing for my old knees and back. I walk just fine, but in the "hills" of Wisconsin, it is easy to overdo. More about that trip in future blogs.
Sugar and I will be walking to the downtown area today. She likes it down on Washington, where the sidewalks and the street are heated and snow free. Like myself, the city and some of the churches and businesses, are running out of places to pile the snow. Hopefully, much of it will disappear as the temperatures rise, although the large mounds will take a while to go away. This winter has been much different from the last. Still, the kids in town are out in their hoodies and open jackets. They have been Michiganders for much longer than I. Overall, the only problem I have is with the icy sidewalks. Sugar doesn't seem to have a problem, but she has four paw drive and she is slung low like a sports car.
Otherwise, not much on tap for the day. So, I am ready to get on with...Tea time and the balance of my day. Ciao.
