Good morning GH. Well, all of the alarm about that extra 3 - 6 inches of snow was wrong. Seems as though we are still getting some flakes, but nothing to really notice. Of course, the latest weather report says that the cold will last several more weeks, not days, due to an anomaly in the jet stream or something. Currently the temperature here in our fair city is 23 degrees. Sugar the Weather Dog and I must go for a walk today to return a book at the library, but that is about as far as I want to go. The high temperature for the day has already been reached and they are still showing the possibility of more lake effect snow. At this point, I am not sure they even have a clue. I know that the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids is the source for these dire predictions, but lake effect should mean that people living near the lake are effected. Once again, go figure.
Mary is still waiting further instructions for the index that she is working on right now. Today is a good day for laundry. So, after I get ready, I'll put that into motion. Since it is nearly 11:00 AM, breakfast will become lunch. A little guitar playing, a little practice on my piloting skills, and then more reading. All in all, a pretty full day.
Otherwise, Sugar will need her breakfast before we brave the outdoors. Speaking of Sugar the Weather Dog, when I let her out this morning, she was so busy tracking the cat that passed through the yard last night, that she got herself wrapped around the tree in the garden. So for the second time this week, I had to go out and rescue her. I wouldn't mind, but if I wanted to be out in the cold, I'd go, I don't need her assistance.
So, it is now time to get ready and then enjoy...Tea time and the balance of my shortened day. Ciao.
