Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 4:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 28° under partly-cloudy skies, with winds of 19 mph that make it feel more like 19°! Today's high-temperture is forecast to reach 44° with a 50% chance for rain-showers later this morning. That high temperature will be about six degrees warmer than Wednesday's high temperature. By Sunday, we still expect to see 50° as a high-temperature!

A Small Craft Advisory will be in effect from 7:00 a.m. today until 1:00 a.m. Friday. Plus, the NWS has added a Gale Watch to their forecast, with north winds of 20 to 30 knots and possible gusts up to 45 knots! Waves of 6 to 12 feet are possible from St Joseph to Manistee.

The sun will rise today @ 7:13 a.m. and set later @ 6:40 p.m.

Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these hazardous conditions. Never a dull moment when you live on the shores of the "Big Lake." I've got to get down to the lakeshore and the state park area to see what I can "capture" on my camera.

I was thinking about my "Little Brother" a while ago. When we were just out of high-school, he had a great film-camera versus my Olympus DSLR camera, that he used to capture montage style shots or multiple exposures of bands and other things. I wonder if he still has that camera and if so, does he still take pix? Maybe he too has upgraded his equipment to get into the 21st century.

Until I can get down to the "Big Lake", I'll insert these pictures.

The carpets and couch being cleaned for the further enjoyment of all of the occupants of the manse.
Today promises to be less busy than yesterday, that is unless I can work into our schedule, a visit to the shores of the "Big Lake.". We also have to remove the blocks that are under the furniture legs and replace the various pieces that we had to move in order to facilitate the cleaning of the carpets. Oh, and then there is that visit to the chiropractor and a possible trip by Mary to the big-box nearly everything grocery store and to the smaller grocery store to pick up some meds for me. Maybe it was wishful thinking that this would be a less busy day in retirement. Ciao.
