Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 36° under clear skies, with winds of 12 mph that make it feel more like 28°! Today's high is forecast to reach 36° with a 50% chance for snow-showers later this morning. By Sunday, we expect to see 50° as a high-temperature!

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect until 4:00 p.m. today. West winds of 15 to 25 knots becoming northwest tonight, can be expected to produce wave heights of 3 to 5 feet from St Joseph to Manistee. Conditions will be hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in these hazardous conditions.

The sun will rise today @ 7:14 a.m. and set later @ 6:38 p.m.

I espied both ends of the train run on the RSTL yesterday. At 9:38 a.m. MMRR locomotives #2109 and #2025 were seen heading south at the head of a long line of fully loaded cars, that included: 19 CHCs and three DWTCs.

Later, @ 3:49 p.m., I watched as those same locomotives were heading north, towing 31 CHCs, five DBTCs, one GTC, and two cars that I'd not seen before. I believe that they were cars loaded with lumber or paper products if my internet searching was accurate. I guess that until I have a better idea/identification, I'll label them Lumber Carrying Flat Cars, or LCFCs. Here is an image I downloaded from the Google™ internet site of stock footage of a car similar to what the cars looked like.

In additional news about my day, I had a great time at my monthly Coffee and Coloring session at the library. I was then off to my barber and then a stop at the local big-box home-center followed by a stop at the grocery store/pharmacy for some meds.

Finally, I made it to my orthopedist and then had a great luncheon of salad with various toppings in the hospital cafeteria. Home was preceded by a quick stop at JWs wine and other things store. Mary had been hard at work while I was out. She had finished my newest stocking hat and collectively, we made a contrasting pom-pom to finish it out. The hat fits great, keeps my ears nice and warm and it looks great, knitted in a color that Mary never thought I'd choose, a deep maroon or purple. I never can tell, with a gray pom-pom. I'll get our Senior Staff Photographer to take a pic for a future blog.

Otherwise, we have the carpet cleaning people due in this afternoon to clean up after the fur-children and us. Mary may, or may not, go to her volunteer "Tad"session at the library. Ciao.
