Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 7:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 36° under cloudy-skies with winds of 6 mph that make it feel more like 31°. Today's high is forecast to be 53°. That's about 15° warmer than yesterday, and also about 13° warmer than Friday's forecast high of 40°. It looks like today will be a good day to get the fur-children out for a walk.

A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect until 8:00 p.m. tonight from St Joseph to Grand Haven. West winds of 15 to 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots, will produce waves from 5 to 8 feet on the shores of the "Big Lake."

 The sun will rise today @ 8:01 a.m. and set later @ 7:48 p.m.

Otherwise, not much is happening. That is unless you count the "temporary" suspension of the NBA season, or the NCAA March Madness tournament basketball games being played in arenas that will have no cheering fans. Plus, with states like CA and others reducing crowd sizes to 250 or less, the MLB™ season may have very limited attendance for some of the early games later this month. At this point, who knows?

The Coronavirus is here in MI! At the manse, we are wiping all surfaces with disinfectant towelettes, and washing our hands constantly. In addition, when we go out, we are avoiding places with large gatherings of people and places where people are openly coughing or sneezing. That last one is probably the most difficult.

If you are of a certain age, i e, over 60 or under five, you are the most vulnerable.

Mostly though, we are being cautious and following the guidelines set-down by the medical people who know about the best ways to stay safe. This is an equal-opportunity virus that has no concern with regard to your political leanings nor your income level.

I am playing with the girls in my studio, painting, reading, and collectively, we are just plain being cautious. Mary has a stash of yarn and other craft-type things to keep her busy along with reading.

Yesterday, I made more vegan Italian meatballs and worked more on editing my manuscript. One of these days, I'll finish my efforts and see where I go from there. There are so many things that I want to finish/start, that I have plenty to keep me busy.

So, in spite of some necessary and cautious restrictions on our movements and interactions, we are doing just fine. The fur-children are always wanting a walk and as much as we can, we'll try to accommodate them. Ciao.
