Sadly, my monthly Irish Jam Session for March 21 has been cancelled. The cancellation is a result of the library being closed as of today until April due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic. We've been jamming together with a varying cast of players for over six years. Although we've had weather and electrical outage cancellations, this is the first cancellation for a pandemic. More info will be forthcoming regarding April's session scheduled for April 18th..
At this time, I don't know about my monthly Coffee and Coloring Session, but if I were a betting man, I'd bet that that too will be canceled for the same reason, as it is scheduled for April 7th. For now, below I've included a fabulous effort by the session coordinator, Kerry Fitzgerald, the Assistant Director of the Loutit Library. This is her Facebook™ Post of her rendering of our Favorite Watering Hole from an adult coloring book written by Barbara Carlson. I have done some coloring in my personal copy of this book, but Kerry is a master of shading and nuance.
Yesterday, we got an email from the Ottawa County Parks, that the scheduled Lessons From a Park Ranger presentation @ Hemlock Crossing County Park scheduled for March 28th, has also been cancelled. This talk would have been the last one by National Parks Ranger Kelly Morrisey, about things she learned while working as a National Park Ranger at Isle Royale and Grand Teton National Parks, We have enjoyed her presentations for the last several years and we hope it is rescheduled. However, since she soon has to travel to her summertime post, that may not happen. Sigh.
We hung my latest painting in our upstairs hallway near my studio. I like how it looks there.
Otherwise, not much is happening here due to our caution about that Coronavirus Pandemic. We are walking the fur-children, but that allows us to be outdoors without coming in contact with other people.
Today, I hope to read more, possibly paint more, play with the girls and take another walk with the fur-children. I have more editing to do on my manuscript too. I've been working on that manuscript for nearly 10 years. I love writing in my favorite genre, so I hope to get to my current ending point and begin the next chapters.
Mary is content to read, do the cooking, and play with her craft things. We continue to communicate with Adam and everything is fine there. Ciao.
