Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."
Lets KISS this one this early morning.
We have a current temperature of 66° under cloudy skies. We actually got some rain again late yesterday, so I'm off the hook for another day. Today's high is forecast by the NWS to be a sultry 78 degrees under cloudy skies in the morning and sunny skies in the afternoon. The sun will rise @ 6:27 a.m. and set @ 9:14 p.m. as the days grow shorter. In addition, the forecast calls for a 60% chance of T-storms on Thursday morning.
I've lost the ability to add the shortcut for the temperature degree. I know how to do it, it just isn't working. Oh well, maybe next blog
I won't spend too much time on baseball, as it was a .500 kind of day.
My beloved 71 - 31, 1st place in the AL East Red Sox, won their game and moved to 40 games over .500 for the first time since 1949! They won their game over the 5th place, 28 - 73 Orioles, 5 - 3. The Sox and the Orioles play again tonight @ 7:05 p.m.
The 43 - 59, 3rd place and rebuilding Tigers, won their AL Central game over the even more hapless 30 - 69, also AL Central Royals, 5 - 4. The Tigers and the Orioles go at it again tonight @ 8:15 p.m.
The 58 - 41, 1st place in the NL Central Cubs, were/are so short on pitching that they sent reliever Luke Farrell to the mound to give their starting pitchers a break. Sadly, Farrell was unable to go more than 3 1/2 innings and served up batting practice to the visiting D'Backs in the top of the 1st inning and gave up five runs before the final out in the inning. The Cubs went on to lose 1 - 7, even giving Anthony Rizzo a chance to pitch along with back-up catcher Victor Caratini. The Cubs and the D'Backs go again tonight @ 8:05 p.m.
The 49 - 51 White Caps, fell to the Quad Cities River Bandits last night, 4 - 7. The Caps are 7th in the MWL East, while the Bandits are 5th in the MWL West. The Caps are off today as they await the 5th place in the MWL East Lake, County, OH Captains on Wednesday night @ 7:05 p.m.
Otherwise, not much happened yesterday. Walks with the fur-children and a few errands.
Today, we travel to Coopersville and then stay in for the duration. Ciao.
