Yesterday, we had the chance to get out and about in our KIA Soul and since the temperature was in the upper 70s, we opened the sliding top. Here is a picture of yours truly enjoying the day.
Later in the day, we had a chance to take a picture of the fur-children in full post-dinner repose. Here they are.

Today, with the assistance of my apprentice trainspotter, I spied locomotives 2025 and 2019 heading south @ 8:15 a.m. towing eight CHCs. Later, when I was outside with STWD, I had my apprentice record the northbound run which consisted of those same locomotives towing one CHC and one DBTC.
Baseball is in full swing right now, with a full slate of afternoon games. But, I'll report on yesterday's results and hold the results of today's games for the next blog.
The 16 - 11 1st place in the NL Central Cubs, lost to the 16 - 15 Rockies, 1 - 3. Today, they are playing the Rockies once again
The 2nd place in the AL Central Tigers, topped the Tampa Bay Rays, 2 - 1. They are playing now.
My beloved 21 - 8 1st place in the AL East Red Sox fell to the 8 - 21 KC Royals, 6 - 7 in 13 innings. They too are playing now.
The 14 - 10 Caps fell to the 11 - 11 Peoria Chiefs yesterday, 4 - 5. They are also at play right now.
I finished All The President's Men yesterday and watched the movie adaptation this morning. The movie was a faithful depiction of the people and events with the exception of some slight changes made for the time allotted and the interplay between Carl Bernstein and Robert Woodward, as played by Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford. I should be able to report to the other members of our history book-club that it was worth the read. For those of you who follow politics, this is eerily similar to the events of today.
We will be off to that book-club meeting soon. For that meeting, I baked chocolate chip cookies with extra chocolate chips following a recipe from the Betty Crocker Cookbook. Along with the recipes that I use from the Fanny Farmer Cookbook, I've never gone wrong.
Speaking of kitchen activities, I made another batch of vegan sausages this afternoon. They should be great, as usual.Ciao.
