Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

I believe that this is as good a time as any to tell everyone that the sun will rise today @ 6:08 a.m. and set later tonight @ 9:17 p.m. There is no rain in the forecast from the NWS for the next few days. Our forecast high temperature today of 66° is 20° lower than yesterday's high of 86°. We'll have clouds this morning and sunny skies in the afternoon. I won't have to water today and as I gaze out the WW, the rain has moved out and the street is drying.

We made it to the car dealer yesterday and if I never have to go there again, that will be too soon. The dealer where we bought the car was sold to a larger dealer group and in fact, was moved from the location that we knew to one that we didn't, where it was rolled into a dealership that sells many brands. Of course, no one at the new location knew us and no one told us that they had moved and no one told us that there was lengthy detour leading to the now empty former location. In addition, the original agreement that gave us oil changes for a small amount no longer would be honored. They did offer to honor that agreement, this time and we took advantage of their "largess." All in all, not a good day at the car dealer.

We left that sad event and made it to downtown Holland where Mary was able to purchase a new pair of summer shoes/sandals. They are made by Keen™ and she likes them a lot, so that was a good event. We stopped at Rosy Mound Park, part of the Ottawa County Park system, on the way home with the intent of taking some pictures. However, my yak was aching a bit and it was too hot to enjoy the stop, so we traveled to our favorite watering hole for an early dinner. That went well.

Later, I watched a car show and Mary made popcorn for my snacking pleasure and then I was off to bed for a few hours. Mary coaxed/cajoled the fur-children out for a final out. STWD was not happy, and Ginger, who normally goes out several times in the evening, would have been just as happy to stay in too.

Yesterday in baseball was another of those semi-maddening days. The 29 - 23, 2nd in the NL Central Cubs, dropped a squeaker to the 29 - 26, 4th in the NLC Pirates, 1 - 2. The Cubs are traveling to NYC to play the 27 - 26 4th in the NL East Mets tonight @ 7:10 p.m.

My beloved, 39 - 17, 1st in the AL East by two games over the 2nd place Yankees, finished off their series with the 25 - 31, 4th in the AL East Blue Jays, 6 - 4. The Sox move on to Houston to play the 35 - 22, 1st in the AL West Astros tonight @ 8:10 p.m.

The 25 - 30, 2nd in the AL Central Tigers are on a roll as they defeated the 30 - 26, 3rd place in the AL West Angels, 6 - 1. The Tigers face the Angels again today @ 1:10 p.m.

The 27 - 24, 3rd in the MWL East Caps got back on track, as they were leading the 26 - 24, 4th place in the MWL East Dayton Dragons 7 - 0 when the game was suspended by rain. The Caps and the Dragons will finish that game later today and then play a night game @ 7:00 p.m.

Otherwise, I think we have the day off. A few errands to run, or not, and then nothing. I still have to help Mary with the math for the sink skirt and I still have to finish the front porch railing, but that's all that I have for today, I think. We will have to get the fur-children out for a walk now that the rain is done, but that is not hard. Ciao.
