Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 2:45 a.m. in "The City."

The current weather conditions do not require a forecast from the NWS. I was just outside with Ginger and it is raining, it is cloudy, and naturally, it is not pleasant. The current temperature per the NWS is 47°, whereas per my own, generally more locally accurate DTWS with its FPMS shows the current temperature48° with rain drops on the display. Even a look out the WW confirms my personal, on-site, observations. Later today, the high is forecast to be 49° with a 70% chance of additional showers.

Alas, that means that our plans for extended walking will be on hold. We'll take a short walk with the fur-children and then off to the accountant for tax preparation, stopping by the library for book pickup and later this afternoon the chiropractor. That will be enough for one day.

Mary came home earlier than anticipated yesterday which excited Ginger immensely. Ginger was feeling blue, at least as far as I can read dog emotions, in Mary's absence. Fortunately, I didn't have to place Ginger in her crate when I walked STWD since Mary was here to join us. We took a long walk down to the waterfront and then back by way of the offices of the Grand Haven Tribune to pick up yesterday's edition. Since we'll be out later and won't be going to The Bookman in the rain with two wet dogs, we'll pick up today's newspaper on our way to the library.

Otherwise, I will be reading the book for our book club meeting tomorrow along with baking cookies. I anticipate that the trains will be going by on the RSTL following their new Tuesday/Thursday schedule. I don't remember, but this may be in preparation for "The Season" when the local Public Safety people don't like tying up the streets for the tourists. Or, it just may be a reflection of shipper's needs.

We made it to two big-box home centers yesterday before the rains set in. The first stop was to take advantage of their annual "Five bags for $10.00" sale on mulch for the gardens of the vast PE. That store's associates helped fill the back of the car and so we had to come home where I personally unloaded all 20 bags.

The second was to pick up the balance of the things needed to complete the remodeling of the upstairs bathroom. They had everything, but the process of getting those things loaded by someone with a younger and stronger yak than mine was more difficult. Apparently, when they call for a "Code 50" from the service desk to assist a customer with loading heavy things into a vehicle, the store's associates find something else that needs to be done at that time. I'm not surprised, but it took time that we didn't feel like spending there. We came home and those things are still in the car awaiting our handyman, John, to do the heavy lifting that my yak will not allow

So today is a full day and tomorrow, the demolition of the bathroom begins. That's followed by a multi-day project of putting backer board on the floor, cutting and placing the floor tile, as it takes a lot of time to cut and place the tiles and then finally, it takes overnight for the mastic to set/dry. Then another day and night for the grout to be placed and set. Finally, the old and new fixtures will need to be placed or replaced. During those days, I'll be refinishing the vanity in the man-cave prior to its replacement. I just realized that the water will probably have to be shut off to allow for the vanity to be removed as the valves are too large to pass through the holes in the base of the vanity without the valves being removed. I have an alternate idea, but that is only an idea aat this time. That's another complication. Sigh.

I can't take any more of this heavy lifting or thinking. Ths sun will rise today @ 7:21 a.m. and set later @ 8:14 a.m. Ciao.
