Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 12:00 a.m. in "The City."

We have a current temperature of 36° under clear skies. Later today, those skies will cloud up, but we will have a high-temperature of 56°. Monday, we'll enjoy a similar temperature, but the chance of showers increases to 80%. That will be true until at least Thursday, with a slight dip in temperature, also occurring Thursday.

Today, I plan to walk the fur-children, separately, and then I will be putting down some fertilizer on our rather ragged looking lawns as well as on our hydrangea and the rose bushes. If all goes well, we'll be seeing blooms on the daffodils soon and whatever else is growing out there. It really doesn't matter, as I like the way the gardens here on the Palatial Estate look in the spring and summer months.

I plan to watch the 2016 World Champion Chicago Cubs on ESPN tonight @ 8:35 p.m. I will get the schedule sorted out for the Tigers and my beloved Red Sox one of these days. I guess that I just can't read.

I placed numerous pieces in my jigsaw puzzle yesterday after I stained the cabinets in the upstairs bathroom following the morning safari with STWD. I thought I would need two coats of sealer, but I think they look great with just one. I'll be doing the vanity once it is removed for the new floor tile, but I think I have learned how to actually apply stain and sealer in a way that makes everything look great. I always used to hate finishing my woodworking projects, but I find that with a bit of perseverance, I can do just fine. Live and learn I guess.

I made my latest batch of vegan-a roni for lunch which carried over to dinner and probably tomorrow's lunch. Last night, I baked more tofu for my snacking pleasure. The fur-children like snacking on baked tofu too. Yes, I spoil them, more so with Mary out of town until late Monday afternoon. Ginger and I are bonding nicely, but I am fairly certain that she will be extremely happy to see Mary, her pawferred human, upon her return.

Once I am done with the morning safari today, I'll get back to reading the book for our book club meeting on Wednesday. I'm liking the book if not the way that the Native Americans were treated by the settlers. I will have to bake a treat for the Wednesday meeting on Tuesday. I'm not sure what that will be yet, but I like how my last batch of oatmeal raisin cookies turned out, so that may be my fallback.

I think I'll give the cabinet doors a chance to dry more fully and reassemble them on Monday.

The sun will rise today @ 7:24 a.m. and set @ 8:11 p.m. Ciao.
