Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 2:00 a.m. in "The City" where a current temperature of 27° that feels like 14° prevails. Fortunately, that prediction from the NWS for snow yesterday never really came true. The sun will rise today at 7:13 a.m. into a mostly sunny sky with a high of 35°. Tomorrow, the NWS is forecasting a high of 45°, albeit with a 100% chance for snow showers with an accumulation of less than one inch and 20 mph winds.

Later this evening, we are planning to go to Seven Steps Up, a local music venue in Spring Lake, to see a performance of Shakespeare's The Tempest by the Pigeon Creek Shakespeare Company. While I am not usually a fan of Shakespeare, we have seen this troupe perform before, and they are quite good. So I am open.

No trains to spot yesterday. I guess that Fridays are the new off day.

Sports news is a mixed bag once again. That note of concern that I included in yesterday's blog regarding Cubs' player Kyle Schwarber, has turned out to be bad news. He has torn both his ACl and LCL tendons in his left knee and is lost for the season. Not to worry though, the Cubs have a plan and the players to take his place. Do I sound like a hopeless, diehard fan? However, the boys in blue did lose to the D'Backs last night 2 - 3 to go 3 - 1 on this road trip. Even if they lose the next two, they will come home a .500 team, which is the goal for any road trip. However, as a long suffering fan, I want more.

The Tigers took it to the Yankees in the Tiger's home opener yesterday, 4 - 0. Miggy had a home run. The Tigers are now 3 - 0 in the new season. My beloved Red Sox slipped by the Blue Jays, 8 - 7 to go to 2 - 1 in the new season. That other team from Chicago also had their home opener yesterday.

I never did get to the guitar store, again. However, I used about two hours of life that I'll never get back yesterday afternoon, purging and shredding a huge pile of old records of various types. I probably should have done it a long time ago, but at least it's over now.

I am sitting at my desk that I raised by the height of a 2 x 4 to try the effect on my posture that the chiropractor suggested. Here's hoping.

That looks like enough for now. The sun will set at 8:21 p.m. Ciao.
