Good afternoon GH. It is just past 2:00 p.m. in "The City."

I just spent another hour that I'll never get back resolving some issues with my new to me Kindle ereader. Apparently, when I inherited it from Mary, I didn't know I had to register it to my account, so the books that I downloaded, weren't getting to the device. With some excellent assistance from Ravi, the Amazon customer service representative, I de-registered the device and registered it to my account, and now I am good to go. I downloaded two books, The Fabulous Trashwagon, and The 200mph Steamroller. Plus, I requested Toly's Ghost from the library interlibrary loan system, all by the same author, Burt S. Levy.

Although I wasn't speaking of the weather, here in "The City" the conditions are far more like winter than spring. Sleet, rain, ice cover, yes, we have them all. In addition, the current temperature is 35°, but it feels like 26°. We are supposed to get to a high of 45°, but I don't see how that will happen. Tomorrow that same high temperature is in the forecast. By my next Irish jam session on Saturday, we are expecting a high of 60° under sunny skies. I'll take a wait and see attitude on that.

Yesterday in sports, the boys in blue beat the D'Backs by a score of 4 - 2. That gives them a record of 4 - 1 on the road trip.good for first in their division. Today's game will either give them a record of 5 -1 or 4 - 2. In any case, that's a winning road trip. The Tigers didn't fare as well, as they fell to the Yankees, 4 -8. Still, the Tigers have a record of 3 - 1, which finds them in first place in their division. My beloved Red Sox are also at 3 - 1, good enough for a second place in their division, having beaten the Blue Jays yesterday by a score of 8 - 4.

We made it to The Tempest last evening at Seven Steps Up in Spring Lake. The Pigeon Creek Traveling Shakespeare Company did a great job. Plus, the venue itself is very cozy, just the place to see any musical act too.

Today I am staying in after I completed the morning safari with STWD and a trip to Health Hutt for yeast for Mary.

Speaking of Mary, she tried a new recipe for vegan hash that tasted delicious. It is a keeper. Right now, she is waiting for the bread that required that yeast to complete its first slow rise. That takes about 10 hours. So, since she has some spare time, she is working on the latest index. I have some editing to do on that index too. But, that should not take too long.

Tomorrow, we have to get out to get some mulch at the local big-box home center since it is on sale for five bags for $10.00. We take advantage every year at this time. Plus, I still want to get to the guitar store and we have to go to the chiropractor in the afternoon. I also have to walk the intrepid one over to have her groomed. She always takes a wide path when we pass that place on a walk. I guess she knows that she won't like it. Phew, I'm worn out just thinking about it.

So since the sun already rose, I'll just say that it will set at 8:22 p.m. Ciao.
