Good morning GH. It is just past 4:00 a.m. in "The City." We have a temperature outside the Weather Window of 42°, as we head for today's high of 48°. Like the weather tout that I am, I'll handicap the odds for today with a 50% chance of showers by 1:00 p.m. Sugar the Weather Dog and I will get in our morning walk.

Speaking of Sugar the Weather Dog, she and I spent several productive hours in the "Bone Zone" yesterday afternoon. I cleaned the car and Sugar chewed her bone. I think we both got what we needed. I also finalized Mary's compost pile behind the garage. Nothing fancy, but functional. I came in and read the newspaper and then slaved over that highlighting that I had to do. I'm not done yet, but I made a good dent in the project.

Late in the afternoon, Mary and I walked downtown to go to the post office, and then we stopped in at the Post to see Sally. A quick stop for an appetizer, and then off for home. We beat the rain by just a slim margin. I believe that may be the way of things in West Michigan weather for a few days.

I heard the southbound train earlier, but I did not hear one going north. Oh well, that's also the way of things.

Today I am going to put another dent in the highlighting. That's after I play guitar for awhile. There are priorities. I may do some laundry, but that's my choice. Otherwise, nothing on tap for the day. Being retired can be so hectic sometimes.

In sports, the Tigers won 5 - 1 over that other team from Chicago. They are now at 14 - 9 on the season. The boys in blue also won, over the Reds 9 - 4, to move to 9 - 17 on the season. My beloved Red Sox were rained out, and remained at 13 - 14. The Caps once again defeated the Lake County Captains, this time by a score of 4 - 1. They are now two games over 500 at 14 - 12.

That looks like enough for today. I don't want to overdo. Ciao.
