Mary and I have just finished watching the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing", which was relatively accident free and which was ultimately won by Ryan Hunter-Reay. He held off Julio Castroneves and Marco Andretti after a red flag stop and restart. The average speeds were considerably higher than last year's race. The newer engines by Honda or Chevrolet Racing produce about 700 plus horsepower with twin turbos. It is the RPMs that make them what they are. I have included some pictures here for your enjoyment.

This morning, we once again did our morning walk about and then came home, where I watered the vegetable gardens on the palatial estate, and Mary prepared the feast for the Indy 500, pictured above. Since I didn't feel like getting up earlier this morning, my blog waited until the race was over.
Tomorrow, yard and other outdoor work await and Mary won't have another project until June 10. I think she likes having a break in the action. June 10 is post the Red Sox and Tigers game we will attend on June 8.
Speaking of my beloved Red Sox and the Tigers, the Sox lost in extra innings 5 - 6. The Tigers were trounced 2 - 12 by Texas. However, they still lead their division by 5.5 games. The boys in blue beat San Diego 3 - 2. The Caps fell 3 - 5 to Dayton and play again tonight against that same team.
That looks like enough for today. Ciao
