Good early morning GH. It is just past 3:30 AM in "The City," and our current temperature is 4° as we head towards our high of 23°. We don't anticipate any additional snow. Good thing, because we have run out of places to pile it. I made a conscience decision to not take any pictures, because at this time, they would be redundant. Without a perspective, they all look the same.

Sunday we were like a goodly portion of the citizens of our nation as we sat down to watch what quickly became the "Boring Bowl." A "Super Bowl" it definitely was not, unless you were a gambler or a resident of Seattle and its environs. Some of the commercials were great, but some that came in the second half were probably not seen by the casual viewer, as the game spiraled out of control. Actually the term game may not apply, as that word implies a contest, which this was not. This was a one-sided rout.

Oh well, enough about another three and one-half hours of my life I'll never get back. I should have used my own personal system to gain time on Sundays and avoided watching the NFL. Sigh.

I had  a small breakthrough yesterday afternoon. While I was exercising, I felt a small hitch in my shoulder give and then my range of motion increased. That increased range doesn't seem to be there now, but as often happens, when I have been lying in bed, I get that old familiar pain. That's why I'm up waiting for the OTC pain killer to kick in. Hopefully when that happens, I'll feel that improvement again. Only time will tell.

Otherwise, Mary got her needed files from her mentor and that will allow her to work more efficiently on her current project. Her mentor always says that if you have devoted five minutes to something and have not resolved the problem, call her. She did and it is, I think.

As for me, not much on the horizon other than more exercises and reading. I haven't gotten to that reading I had planned, due in large measure to that waste of time I mentioned earlier. That and the general laziness that a long winter seems to engender in me. I have to push through it. If I don't, I am indeed wasting time that I won't get back.

No trains to report, no pictures, and just...Tea time after the sun rises at 7:56 AM.. Breakfast will be Cheerios and apples with almond milk. Since I am not like my late mother-in-law who ate water with her cereal, I prefer the taste of the almond milk with vanilla. High calcium, as much or more than cow's milk, and less impact on the ecosystem in the form of grains eaten by dairy cows. As Mary often says, humans are the only animals who continue to drink milk after being weaned. I guess she is right, though I hate to admit it. Plus, I don't need to add sugar which is something that I have always enjoyed on my cereal. All in all, a winner.

So, that's enough for now. Ciao.
