Good morning GH.  A quick look out the weather window tells me that the day has the portent of being a bit more stormy than yesterday.  I also note that the desktop weather temperature is showing 53 degrees.  The National Weather Service is still predicting rain over the next few days, but so far I haven't seen the evidence.  Had a long train last evening, early, and then later the two engines headed back north, this time without any cars.  I also noticed that although one engine was the typical MMRR the other was a brand that I didn't recognize.  I'll have to pay closer attention next time it goes by.  I have no real plans for today, just being lazy, if that is a plan that is extraordinary.  Mary has other plans, but I don't, and I want to keep it that way.  My lovable losers, the Cubs,  actually won yesterday, but I think they still tried to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  They had a nine run lead and managed to only win by four, when the starting pitcher ran out of gas.  There had been a lengthy rain delay in St. Louis, so that didn't help.  My other lovable losers, the Red Sox, are struggling too.  Their record is not setting the league on fire and there are rumors of dissension in the clubhouse.  It seems like you just can't please millionaires all the time.  Who would have thought; the Washington Nationals are leading their division this year.  I think the addition of good pitchers and a solid manager have made significant contributions to their winning record.  We finally got to see the arf walk dog, and it looks a lot like Sugar.  When we get one and get it painted like her, it should be a hit on the front porch.  Otherwise,  it looks like it is......Tea time.
