Good morning or good evening wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world It is just past 9:30 p.m. in "The City."

We had a great day today. My vegan chik'n turned out great as did my faux Subway™ bread. Mary made our own version of Subway™ sandwiches for brunch and later, she incorporated my vegan pepperoni into her secret recipe pasta sauce for our dinner. I'd call it a twofer kind of day/evening.

Some lettuce, banana peppers, black olives, vegan mayo and the vegan chik'n atop my bread with dill pickles on the side..

I finished a crossword puzzle earlier and then we traveled to the Grand Haven State Park for a walkabout with our fur-children. Yesterday, Mary and her wing gal, Ginger, discovered the area adjacent to the beach and the shore of Lake Michigan, which made for a great snow and ice free walking area. Naturally, Mary recognized the photographic opportunities yesterday, so I took along my DSLR camera to see what I could record. Below are some shots that I think turned out great.

Sugar the Weather Dog was tired, so I put her in the car to allow for some additional photo time.

In winter, some things reveal themselves as great subjects.

I switched my settings to best capture the setting sun over the "Big Lake."

A shot of the outer and inner lighthouses on the south pier.

We parked near this snow-covered sand pile.

This house sites atop the dunes across from the state park, but you can only see it when the leaves have fallen.

A solo shot of the inner lighthouse.

One of my favorite subjects.

Also a nice shot of the setting sun.

No rangers at this time of year.

A shot through the tunnel by the Ottawa Water Filtration Station.

A solo shot of the outer lighthouse.

No explanation needed for this pic.

Of course, there were many picture possibilities, but I can't include them all, so I chose some that I liked.

We drove home to feed the fur-children, and then Mary made her own version of pasta and garlic bread for dinner. The garlic bread was based on my Subway™ bread.

It's getting late, so I am going to go for a quickie weather report. Today was a sunny day and that will be true tomorrow too. The high temperature will reach 35° after the sun rises @ 8:16 a.m. and before it sets @ 5:27 pm. After sunset, our overnight low will be 25°

Tomorrow is one of our weekly indoor chore days and I hope to get in some time in my art studio too. Mary wants to do as little as possible.

A sad note. We watched the final episode of Jeopardy with the late Alex Trebek as host. The ending was very poignant as Alex waved goodbye and walked off the set for the final time. We will miss him and hope that whomsoever is his replacement will be up to the task. Ciao.
