Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 9:00 p.m. in "The City."

A current temperature of 32° feels more like 23° due to a 10 mph wind out of the south, which is part of a weather system that is dominating West Michigan tonight. That system is due in large measure to the current barometric pressures of 29.94" and falling from the NWS and 29.36" and rising per my own DTWS.

We also have another Small Craft Advisory from St. Joseph to Grand Haven. Wind speeds of 10 - 20 knots tonight will propel waves from one to three feet tonight with the winds increasing to 15 - 25 knots overnight that will produce waves from three to five feet. The Small Craft Advisory ends tomorrow @ 4:00 p.m.

As I noted in yesterday's blog, the 8 - 8 Bears backed into the NFL playoffs yesterday. They could not defeat the 13 - 3 Packers and their next opponent will be the 12 - 4 Saints. It is time to say, "Wait until next year." Or perhaps, "Wait until next decade."

Tomorrow, the sun will rise @ 8:16 a.m. and set later @ 5:23 p.m.

I took down the outdoor Christmas decorations earlier today. Sigh. Tomorrow the indoor decorations get dismantled until, wait for it, "Next Christmas season."

However, I did get in some music time and also some reading time on my latest novel in my preferred large-print format, it is entitled Walk the Wire, by David Baldacci.

We found time to go out this afternoon for a rideabout that took us to Spring Lake and GH, where I took some pix. Nothing Earth shattering, but interesting. I was using my Olympus DSLR camera and what we've come to call my daily driver lens, at various focal lengths. I've chosen to not include any captions, as I prefer to let the pix speak for themselves. It is worth yof note, that this is January 4, and the ice cover is non-existent.

Dinner tonight was Mary's spin on and old classic, baked beans atop oiled and baked potatoes. I liked it with the side salad on my plate, although I added some hot sauce on my baked beans.

Tomorrow is indoor chores day along with the dreaded take down of our indoor Christmas decorations. I have more decorations to store this year than last, so that's a good thing.

I also plan to do some kitchen activities, do a crossword or two, play more music, and do more reading too. Busy, busy. Ciao.
