A current temperature of 35° that feels like 32° with a three mph wind out of the south, is not the harbinger of tomorrow's weather. In fact, tomorrow's high has been forecast by the NWS to reach 49° under partly-cloudy skies. The NWS is also showing a barometric presure of 29.96" and rising, while my DTWS is showing 29.39 and falling here on the shores of the "Big Lake."
We have no advisories, watches, nor warnings in the forecast at this time. Speaking of time, the sun will rise tomorrow @ 8:05 a.m. and set later @ 5:09 p.m.
I had great plans for today, but as is all too often the case, those plans were altered. We finished the weekend crossword puzzle, and Mary went to the big-box nearly everything store for a pickup. She took along her Wing-Gal, Ginger, while I repaired to the kitchen to do some baking and cooking. While they were out, I baked some Fun-Fetti cookies, as seen below, and also made a batch of my soon to be famous vegan Italian meatballs, which became part of our dinner.
They taste even better than they look! |
While Mary and Ginger were out, they picked up some flowers for our living room, which Mary arranged in the vase we brought back from our trip to Italy many years ago.
Carnations. |
While they were out, Mary and Ginger also drove over to Harbor Island, where they discovered a semi-hidden path through the trees that afforded a different view of the BLP Sims II power plant located there. Ginger enjoyed the opportunity to bark at the local ducks on one of the ponds. When we feel the urge, Mary and I will go there again with my DSLR camera and my largest telephoto lens. Sans the fur-children, I should come away with some great pix.
I was going to practice my harmonica this morning using the lessons on my computer, but my P/C had other ideas. Instead, I spent about one-hour waiting for it to update. Oh well, there is always tomorrow.
Speaking of tomorrow, we have nothing scheduled. Mary wants to read her book all day, and I will play my harmonica and my guitars along with some reading of my own.
I have nothing else to add. Ciao.
