Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation, and across the world. It is just after 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

The current outdoor temperature is 74° under rainy skies. My DTWS is reporting 76º. According to the NWS, light winds of 8 mph make it feel like 74°. Yesterday afternoon, my DTWS was showing 99.9° on the deck in the sun. Today's high temperature is forecast to be 86º under partly-sunny/rainy skies with a relative humidity index of 70% and an 80% chance for a stray T-storm this morning. I took a look out the WW and it is lightly raining right now. Will that preclude watering today? Stay tuned.

I watered the vast gardens heavily yesterday and I may be watering again today. As previously noted, the forecast from the NWS calls for T-storms this morning, so we shall see.

According to my DTWS, the barometric pressure is 29.33" and steady, while the NWS is reporting 30.04" and slowly rising. Barometric pressures are just one indication that the forecast for a stray T-storm is generally accurate.

However, there is still an Air Quality Alert in effect until 9:30 p.m. tonight for Muskegon, Ottawa, Kent, Allegan, and Van Buren Counties.

We collectively made it to my appointment for that suture removal. That went without incident as Mary waited in the car and then we took a short ride in the local area. Naturally, I had to take some pix, having opted to take my camera which I sometimes eschew, generally to my regret.

In the background, are some local swans who live near the shuttered GHBLP Sims power plant.
The water level is very high all over the Sims, Linear Park, and Harbor Island areas.
A view from the Third St. bridge of the fixed RR bridge over the Grand River.
The Coal Tipple from Linear Park.
Weeks have elapsed, but the road is still flooded and impassable on Harbor Island.
Since I had my camera along, I took some pix of the veggies in our vast vegetable garden when we got home.

When plants seem to spontaneously appear, they are called "volunteer" plants. That happens due to a previous harvest or tilling leaving behind seeds from last year. Such is the case of my own volunteer tomato plant. Probably a cherry tomato.
All of our tomato plants have fruit forming.
Yes, Virginia, that is a tiny cucumber forming.
Last night, Mary made pizza for dinner. She made her own sauce, which has the same aroma as her pasta sauce, so the fur-children were hoping for some pasta noodles. She wants to order a commercially made pizza sauce on our next Fast Lane™ order, which she usually augments anyway. I think that's because the commercial sauce speeds up the process. However, I like her sauce made from scratch. The pizza was served during another episode of Poldark.

Today if I don't have to water, I plan to read, color, play music, and do some indoor chores. I'll be able to assess the need for watering by noting how wilted the hydrangea bush looks when I am out with the fur-children later this morning. Mary started the indoor chores last night, but there are always more.

The fur-children wanted to go for a walk yesterday, but the high temperature coupled with that Air Quality Alert made that a non-starter. Same for today. Instead, we may do some pawdicure activities in the mudroom which they will acquiesce to when a treat at the end is a reward for good behavior. Ciao.
