Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 5:30 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 25° under cloudy skies with snow showers and windy conditions in the forecast from the NWS. Today's high is forecast to fall to 23° under skies with snow-showers in the forecast @ 40%. The sun will rise today @ 8:16 a.m. and set later @ 5:26 p.m. Tomorrow, the high temperature will rebound to a less January-like 45°, as snow-showers move into our area with a 70% chance and windy conditions. Friday will be 43°, albeit also with a 70% chance for rain-showers. As I've previously noted, showers never have to be shoveled. We may see a train pass by the manse too, since it is Wednesday.

Advisories and Warnings.

There is still a Gale Warnings in effect, but only until 9:00 a.m. today. Northwest winds will reach speeds of 35 knots producing waves of six to ten feet in height from St Joseph to Manistee. Those strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. The well below freezing temperature Wednesday will cause freezing spray as well.

Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe conditions. You won't see one of the many commercial ships that visit Grand Haven stopping by under those conditions.

Otherwise, yesterday was pedestrian. We didn't take the fur-children for a walk and that likely won't be happening today either. Sorry girls, maybe tomorrow, or not, if that weather forecast for rain holds.

I had another good time at Coffee and Coloring yesterday. I don't always complete anything, but this time I finished a picture of a dog that I stylized to more closely match Ginger.

Today, Mary has another of her "Tad" sessions at the library. I probably won't get any painting done as there is unlikely to be enough sunlight in my studio. Instead, I'll do some indoor chores and read one of the books that I checked out of the library yesterday. The stack of books grew exponentially requiring two bags to get them home. Fortunately, they are mostly large-print editions that should be quick reads. That's all folks! Ciao.
