Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 2:00 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 51° under clear skies. Today's high is forecast to reach 69°, also under clear skies, following our overnight low of 48°. The sun will rise today @ 7:51 a.m. and set later @ 7:12 p.m.

Wow, everything almost went according to plan yesterday. Of course, there is always something that gets in the way, but that's the way the ball bounces sometimes.

I carried my fall decorations up from the man-cave and then left them for Mary to place. Once I am done, I am done. Plus, her sense of placement is always better than mine. That being said, I went off to get my hair cut and when returned, I espied the results of her handiwork. Naturally, I had to take some pix.

A blockhead of a ghost.

Some 4 x 4s, some paint, and a few tree branches, and voila, pumpkins.

Another blockheaded ghost.

Duh? Or is it Boo?

Frankenstein's Monster and a mummy.
We didn't go far yesterday, just a quick walk to the library with the fur-children to pick up some books and then home for lunch.

I made some vegan Italian sausages and some pesto using our home grown basil. I had to use the basil or lose it, as its growing season is drawing to a close. I worked the weekend crossword from the Grand Haven Tribune  and then we made a short visit to JWs.

We watched some TV news and then some game shows before I retired upstairs to tun in NCIS for our viewing pleasure. Once that program was over, Mary returned to the downstairs to watch The FBI and I stayed up to watch that and another episode of NCIS New Orleans. I am nearly finished with my latest novel

I was watching NCIS New Orleans when Mary came up to share what she had just seen in the front yard of the manse. She took a picture with her Smart Phone, but it was already too dark to get a great shot. I'll include what she did get in a large format to help your viewing. Remember, if you click on a pic, you get the largest version possible.

I hope our Indian Corn decorations are still there in the morning.

Today, we have nothing scheduled. Mary never got to the grocery store yesterday, so that is on her list of things to do today. I'll be making more vegan Italian meatballs using some of that pesto I made yesterday. Ciao.
