Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just before 4:00 a.m. in "The City." We have a current temperature of 50° before the sun rises at 7:33 later this morning. As the day progresses, the temperature is expected to rise to 70° under sunny skies before the sun sets at 7:38 p.m. later this evening. That time span is a scant 12 hours and five minutes of daylight. It seems to be happening so fast now that fall has officially begun, That happened at 10:29 p.m. last night. Sigh. I like the weather and the temperatures of fall, but I can skip the cold and snow of winter. That, and the leaf raking that always comes first.

In sports news. I watched the Tigers surrender a three run lead to that other team from Chicago in the top of the ninth, and then pull it out in the bottom of the frame. With two men on in the bottom of the inning, Miguel Cabrera got a hit to drive in the winning run. Whew! The boys in blue eked out a win over the Cardinals 4 - 3. That won't be much consolation to a fan base that expected so much more. My beloved Red Sox once again fell apart, as they lost to the Rays, 2 - 6.

Yesterday, we walked with Sugar the Weather Dog early and then I transcribed some music, played the girls, read my book, and dusted. Vacuuming is probable for today. Mary spent the day slaving over a hot keyboard. Sugar loafed on her couch.

I went to bed after watching NCIS and NCIS New Orleans between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. I liked both. During the NCIS show, we baked a take and bake pizza, and Mary thinks that it should become a regular Tuesday night thing. I agree. Mary came along some time later, and noted that Sugar doesn't even notice the trains going by anymore. I heard the southbound run at the time, but I wasn't feeling a need to get up. I must have missed the northbound run. Nope, I stayed up just long enough to witness its passage. The regular pair of EMD GP 38 locomotives, both with the newest livery, towing 64 covered hopper cars with CSX livery and the seemingly required amount of graffiti. That 64 cars, all of the same type, may be a record.

Today is editing day for Mary's project. That will happen later this afternoon or early evening. I don't know about the length yet. Sugar and I will take the morning walk together, since Mary will be busy and I don't want to be editing at midnight again.

That's my day yesterday and today. Ciao.
