Good morning GH. It is currently 31 chilly degrees here in GH. There is a wind blowing at 15 mph, so it feels like 20 degrees. Brrrr! Sugar the Weather Dog and I will be walking this morning, but it will be a short walk for sure. The view out the Weather Window shows sunshine sometimes, and gray skies with splashes of blue other times. In any event, it is certainly cold. Once again, Brrr! One ray of hope, according to the National Weather Service, Monday is expected to reach a high of 63 before we drop back into the 40s and 50s for several days. Tuesday is also showing a 60% chance of precipitation, while Saturday, the 27th, is showing the same with temperatures in the 50s. I know I've said this before, but enough already.
Mary got cheated out of UP/ with Steve Kornacki, as the network is instead running coverage of the post capture activities in Boston. I am glad that they caught one of the perpetrators alive so that they can interrogate him and try to get to the bottom of this despicable act. However, a constant rehash won't tell us as much as a thoughtful discussion on UP, with a panel of people who actually knows something. Oh well, UP will be back tomorrow. Mary is still watching, because like a moth to a flame, she is drawn.
I have an Irish Jam session at the library this afternoon, while Mary goes to some Earth Day activities at the community center. I always look forward to jamming, and I know that Mary will like Earth Day, so we both have a winner.
Otherwise, not much on tap for the day. Tea time and guitar. What's not to like? Sugar will not feel entirely requited by a short walk, but I just don't like walking into the face of a hurricane west wind. Oops, I was channeling Gordon Lightfoot there. Sometimes those things happen.
Speaking of things, we had a train about 7:00 PM yesterday, an odd time. Two locomotives and a long string of box, covered hopper, and tank cars heading south. Given the number of trains recently, I think the economy is improving, even as the price of precious metals drops. Gasoline too, has been on a lower trajectory. Gosh I like that word trajectory. No reason, just fun to use.
Oh well, it is now time to get ready to face the day and get ready to walk out in the biting cold. Well, it isn't really biting, but it is a nice turn of a phrase. So, Ciao.
Oh, I forgot to mention that in my never ending quest for free things, I was able to add my vote to those of others and get a $1,000 grant for Sugar the Weather Dog's adoption agency, Animal House Shelter of Huntley, Illinois. I think that should help then get more kibble and help more homeless pets. Now for sure, adieu.
