Good early morning GH. It is just past 2:00 AM here in GH and the view out the Weather Window is dark and gloomy. Well not really, but sometimes you like to start out with a catchy phrase. I guess that I could have started out with,"It was a dark and stormy night," but then I would have sounded like Snoopy when he was writing novels. Currently, our temperature is 33 degrees heading for a high of 42. By the weekend, we expect sunny and highs around 50. I'll take it. In addition, there is no real chance of precipitation until Thursday of next week.

Today, we have nothing on tap. That's good. We may take a short trip to the big-box hardware/home store, but that depends on whether we have a yen to go anywhere. I know that following my knee treatments, that I can't walk far with Sugar the Weather Dog. Too bad for both of us, but by Friday I'll be fine again. What's that saying, "No pain, no gain." Sadly in this case, that's true.

I actually got Mary to let me drive the new car on Tuesday, and it was great. However, I don't have a need to drive. I like being  passenger just fine. But a word of caution. When she let's me drive, I don't need a constant set of instructions. I have been driving longer than she, and I can still do it. Kind of like Tom Selleck in Quigley Down Under when he says, "Didn't say I didn't know how to shoot a pistol, just said I didn't have a need for one," or words to that effect.

We met a man earlier who lives in our fair city near the railroad tracks, like us. He likes the sound of the trains as they pass, and he likes to walk etc. Sounds like a match. A quick follow up. A train just went by at 2:58 AM. The usual, twin locomotives and just a few cars in tow. I hope he likes this one.

Mostly, I plan to read, play a little guitar, and maybe watch some television today, likely with Sugar the Weather Dog in my lap. It doesn't get any better than that.

So until next time, it is just a chance for me to get more sleep and of course...Tea time. Ciao.
