Good morning GH. It actually is morning here in our fair city, 10:45 AM. Currently, our outdoor temperature is a balmy 56 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, we can expect highs in the 50s all week except for Thursday when we might make the 60s. But don't get used to it folks, because then we drop back into the 40s on Friday and Saturday.  Next week when we may see the 50s again. But hold on, because then we get back to the 40s after Monday. This topsy-turvy weather is brought to you by spring in Michigan.

Mary and I went to the pet show in near GR yesterday, but we couldn't stay long, because of the animal dander from dogs, cats, ferrets, and other furry creatures. Oh well, it got us to see another pert of Western Michigan. While there, we swung by the Fifth-Third Ballpark, home to the West Michigan Whitecaps. Mary and I plan to visit for a game on a warm day on the summer. Mary took pictures, which she will share in a future blog.  Then it was off for home following our mostly trusty GPS device. I have to take time to update it today.

Speaking of sports, to borrow from Howard Cosell, a once famous sports broadcaster, the Caps pulled out a win 10 - 7 over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Sunday. I like that name, like I like the name for the team in Lansing, the Lug Nuts. My boys in blue found another way to lose, this time by uncorking 5 wild pitched in one inning. Not bad for one game. I think it was a record. Oops, it was/is. The Boston Red Sox, once again beat the Rays of Tampa Bay to remain in first place in their division. The Tigers, also beat up on the Oakland As scoring often and early and remaining atop their division too. So, with the exception of the boys in blue, a good day in baseball. Once again, the White Sox, who cares.

Sugar the Weather Dog and I spent some time on the deck in the bone zone yesterday afternoon, but I finally succumbed to the cold and made her come in. Maybe more today if the weather holds like it is now. This morning the brave Weather Dig was spooked by cable guys hanging on the pole in our back forty. But, she did manage to get her basic business done.

My aching right shoulder isn't aching so much today. Maybe I have turned a corner. I sure hope so, as I have an Irish Jam session this coming Saturday.

So, not much else is happening today. Mary has a dentist appointment, which has been put off a couple of times due to factors beyond her control. Me, just a bit of house cleaning and perhaps, I'll turn the apples from the refrigerator into sauce. So until next time, Ciao.
