Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 2:00 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 43° under partly-cloudy-skies, with winds of 13 mph that make it feel more like 36°! Today's high-temperature is forecast to reach 42°, which is about 10° colder than the high was yesterday. The NWS has ended their forecast for rain until tonight.

There was a Dense Fog Advisory in effect from Holland to Grand Haven that ended @ 2:00 a.m. this morning. However, a Gale Watch remains in effect through 8:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. That Gale Watch comes complete with 35 knot winds and waves from 6 to 9 feet a possibility from St Joseph to Manistee MI. Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. They should consider remaining in port, seeking safe harbor, altering course, and/or securing vessels for severe wind and waves. If you must navigate, proceed with caution. But why navigate at all?????

Once again, the NWS has issued a Lakeshore Flood in effect until 8:00 a.m. tomorrow. for Mason, Oceana, Muskegon, Ottawa, Allegan and Van Buren counties. Parking lots and roads along the immediate lakeshore will experience minor flooding. Minor erosion of beaches and sand dunes is expected. A Lakeshore Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds will generate flooding of low areas along the lakeshore. Some minor beach and dune erosion is also likely.

The sun will rise this morning @ 7:12 a.m. and set tonight @ 8:21 p.m.

Oddly, we had another train run yesterday. At 8:37 a.m., MMRR EMD GP 38- 2 locomotives 2019 and 2025 were seen heading south towing eight CHCs, two DBTCs, and one GTC (gray tank car).

Later, @ 1:49 p.m., that same tandem of locomotives was espied heading north towing 20 CHCs, and seven Black Open Gondola Cars (OGCs), similar to the image below, I copied this image from the Trinity.com internet site.

Mary thinks they have been repainted recently, I think they are new.
Also yesterday afternoon, Mary raced over, well actually drove extra carefully to avoid problems, to the D & W grocery in order store to pick up our latest Fast Lane™ order. She was wearing her protective mask. While we received no cleaning supplies in that order, including that elusive TP, we did get beaucoup produce that included lettuce etc. So, soon, we'll be able to have a salad.

I continued coloring yesterday and I am making significant progress. I like how it is going and I'll include a picture of my efforts when they are complete. Mary's coloring efforts are also going well and due to her better color perception, I think she is doing better than me.

We have plans to do some light housekeeping today, but that's primarily vacuuming. Given the paucity of cleaning supplies, we have to be judicious in our usage of those.

A side note. In my previous blog, I erred when I noted that our next grocery pick up was for next Monday. Actually, it is for next Tuesday. What a difference a day makes, as I often say.

Oyjerwose, more coloring, more music, more writing, more reading more... Ciao.
