Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just past 7:30 a.m. in "The City." Yes my loyal readers, I decided to go to bed last night and stayed there until around 6:45 a.m this morning.

We have a current temperature of 31° under leaden-skies that the NWS has forecast to yield snow-showers this ayem with a 60% chance. As I gaze out the WW, I don;t see any evidence of snow-showers right now. I stand corrected. Upon further review, I see a light snow falling now. Today's high has been forecast to reach 35°with the sun supposed to peek out later htis afternoon.

The sun rose today @ 7:02 a.m. and it will set later @ 8:28 p.m. over the mostly deserted streets of GH.

Sometime after I went to bed last night and before she came to bed, I had a visitor to the studio last night, Ginger, the youngest of our fur-children. I know that because she left me a souvenir. She was probably more interested in what could be found in my waste can, but I prefer to think that she left this "slightly" chewed stuffed squirrel as a souvenir of her visit.

Happily chewed and enjoyed.
Mary also left me a souvenir in the refrigerator, a small bowl with blueberries and vegan yogurt. I had that this morning, but a picture of an empty bowl seemed less appealing, so there is none.

Yesterday, Mary went to pick up our ever-shrinking Fast Lane™ order at the grocery store. As has become the new norm, no cleaning supplies, no TP, no lo-salt snacks, no flour, no bread, etc. Oh well, while the lack of TP and cleaning supplies is troublesome, if nothing else, the lack of "junk" foods is better for our collective health.

While she was out, I busied myself in the vegan kitchen making a new recipe, vegan falafels. No oil, just chickpeas, spinach and water baked in the oven. I had to work in batches, as our food processor is small, but once I got everything chopped and combined in our favorite bowl, they were oven ready. So, in they went for 30 minutes to become part of lunch.

Mary had expected them to be ready when she returned, but the necessity of working in small batches extended my preparation/cooking time. However, we both pronounced them a "keeper!" With or without Mary's homemade Tzatziki sauce, they were part of an excellent lunch with a slice of Mary's quick-rise bread..

Worked for both of us!
Later, I made a batch of vegan Italian meatballs. I don't think that this batch was as good as my last, and I don't know why. Luck of the draw I suppose.

After I went to bed last night, also with with Ginger's assistance, Mary folded and put away most of our new kitchen towels. She left the ones for the top shelf for me to put away. I have to stretch to reach the top shelf myself, so I know why. I did that a while ago after I put away the dishes and staged the kitchen for our brunch.

Earlier in the afternoon, we collectively finished the weekend crossword puzzle, from the Grand Haven Tribune. Mostly it was my effort, but before she went upstairs to color, Mary gave me a few answers. We are always a few days behind as we allow the mail to rest and not also deliver any COVID-19 germs.

I wrote more in my manuscript and I am up to chapter 31. I'm still not sure of the ending, but my writing is going along well. I also found time to play with the girls in my studio too.

Today, Mary has plans to continue coloring. Her efforts are quite striking as she quickly masters the nuances of shading and color choice. I'll probably write more and perhaps color too, if the sun cooperates.

Otherwise, I expect a train to go by, but with the current state of the economy that may not happen. Ciao.
