Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be, across the nation and across the world. It is just after 4:00 a.m. in "The City."

The current temperature is 33° under clear-skies. Winds of 4 mph make it feel more like 29°. Today's high is forecast to be about 6° higher than yesterday @ 47°. It is still looking like we'll be stuck in the 40s and lower 50s for many days. We are anticipating cloudy-skies today too.

The Small Craft Advisory that was in effect has now ended. There are no new advisories, watches, nor warnings in the forecast at this time.

The sun will rise today @ 7:19 a.m. and set later @ 8:16 p.m.

Currently, the lowest gasoline price in Grand Haven Township is $1.34/gallon. At our local big-box nearly everything store, a store that is being overwhelmed by people trying to get whatever supplies they may need/desire to hoard to survive the Covid-19 pandemic lock-down, the price is $1.34/gallon. At our preferred grocery store, D & W, a store that is currently offering grocery pick-up dates about 10 days into the future, the current price is $1.35/gallon.

Does it really matter what the price is? We have that stay at home order in effect for non-essential travel and nowhere to go if we could travel.

As Mary has pointed out, an "accidental" meeting with another motorist that would necessitate face to face interactions with that motorist and law-enforcement personnel is too high a risk to take to make traveling a good idea. So, we'll take short walks with the fur-children, avoid other people, and stay out of potential trouble.

The vegan kitchen was open for business at the manse yesterday. I made more vegan Italian sausages, two of which Mary included as part of our dinner. With a limited variety of groceries in our larder, she has had to be more creative than usual. But, she is doing it.

We went down to our man-cave greenhouse yesterday to water the seedlings in our furnace-room greenhouse. Lo and behold, the tomatoes have begun to sprout! When they have matured more, or perhaps when the sweet peppers have also sprouted, I'll take some commemorative pix.

I find that if I talk to the plants there and also in and around the manse in general, they do better. Even our Peace Lily in the foyer, appropriately named Lil, is doing better now that she has been re-potted and is up and away from STWD's daily meal at the salad bar.

Yesterday, Mary read and forwarded to me an article that stated that people are recalling their dreams more often and in greater detail during this stay at home period, than ever before. I have only had two such dreams that I can recall with any clarity. One involved STWD, while the other involved a dear friend and former colleague who lives in Illinois in a far-north suburb of Chicago. Hint, hint. I had this "vision/dream" of her arranging a luncheon in a grocery store for a large crowd of elderly people, clearing up afterwards with the help of her associates as I watched. Naturally, the luncheon area was neater and cleaner than ever. I woke up after that. That "vision/dream" would be in keeping with her way of doing for others.

We tried to avoid taking the fur-children for a walk yesterday, but they would or could not be deterred. So after we watered the seedlings, off we went into the teeth of what felt like a Nor'easter, as people from New England might call it. We headed east into those winds, rounded the corner at Fifth Ave. and we were soon headed home to warmth and safety. We saw only a few people along the way, one of whom changed her running route to provide the requisite six-feet of distance between us and her.

Today, we will be staying inside, reading coloring more, playing music more, working the crossword puzzle from the weekend edition of Grand Haven Tribune and doing our part to end this stay at home period. Ciao.
