The current temperature is 37° under clear-skies with calm conditions that make it feel like 37°. Today's high is forecast to be 53°, under mostly-sunny-skies. As before, we'll bounce around and be in the 40s or lower 50s for many more days.
The sun will rise today @ 7:22 a.m. and set later @ 8:14 p.m. There is still no baseball, but I did watch Bull Durham last night on the MLB™ channel. For now, that's the best I can get.
It was so nice out yesterday afternoon, that Mary and I sat out on the deck with the fur-children and read our books and enjoyed being out of the manse for an extended period. Don't get me wrong, I love the manse, but we've now passed three-weeks of staying inside and it just felt good to be outside.
Before we made our way to the deck, I completed the indoor chores, baked a loaf of English muffin bread, and watched as Mary prepared another of her world-famous vegan hammishes in the Crock Pot™, some of which became part of our dinner.
Of course, as befits her status as our Senior Staff Photographer, Mary tool her Olympus TG-6 camera along for the ride. She attempted to get a clear pic of STWD, but the Cutest Dog on the Planet was her usual reluctant to be photographed self, and so all Mary got was some obscured shots
The best STWD would allow this day. |
A study in contrasts? |
Soon, they will proliferate for the season. |
We're not sure on the name of these flowering plants in the back-forty of the vast gardens, but whatever they are, they look great and bloom early. |
We're not sure on these either, but we believe they are called a Star of something. |
One side effect of the no-travel order here in MI and in GH specifically, is that gasoline prices are at their lowest point in many years. Currently, the D & W is showing $1.38 for unleaded regular. The lowest price posted is @ a Marathon©, $1.35! OF course, there are very few people driving, so...
By the by, MI Governor Whitmer has announced that all school buildings in MI will remain closed for the balance of the school year. Any instruction will take place via the internet. But, not all children have access to the internet especially with the libraries closed, so... High-school seniors will be promoted.
Today, it looks like the fur-children and ourselves will once again hit the deck. Since it will be a better day than the NWS has forecast for Saturday, Mary says she will put off doing some indoor organization that she wants to get around to doing.
I have more writing to do, and I hope to get to that shortly. If I keep plugging away, my manuscript will be like that proverbial statue that emerges from a block of stone or a piece of wood with the help of the artist. My manuscript will be released from my thoughts.
Ciao.
