Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is just past 1:00 a.m. in "The City.
Did you ever notice just how many clocks you have in your house? I went around and reset the downstairs clocks, there are four, with three in the kitchen alone. I had already reset my cuckoo clock and my DTWS earlier yesterday evening. I still have to reset the clock in my man-cave, but that clock will wait until later today. Hopefully, the internet radios and the computers will take care of themselves.
We have a current temperature of 38° that feels like 33° according to the NWS, with light rain expected. In addition, the NWS has issued a Gale Warning for the "Big Lake" from 4:00 a.m. this morning until 7:00 p.m. tonight, Waves will build from 6' to 8', propelled by winds that may reach 34 to 47 knots. Only experienced sailors in very large ships should venture out on the water. Actually, experienced mariners know enough to find a sheltered place to anchor out of the wind and hunker down.
It was a "Hurricane West Wind" that sunk the ore carrier, Edmund Fitzgerald many years ago in Lake Superior. You just knew that this was the perfect spot for me to slip in The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald recorded by Gordon Lightfoot, didn't you? This particular YouTube™ cut includes some news footage recorded shortly after the Edmund Fitzgerald sank. When she went down, 29 men lost their lives.

Meanwhile back to the weather report. Today, the sun will rise @ 7:23 a.m. and set later @ 5:32 p.m. Yes Virginia, it will be dark much earlier now and for the next several months. The fur-children's internal clocks will be off for several weeks, as will ours. Sigh.
College football watching yesterday was terrific, enhanced by Mary's supply of vegan cheeses, pickles, crackers, chips and vegan French onion dip, accompanied by a few PBRs. I walked STWD early yesterday and then pretty much stayed in the media room La-Z-Boy most of the day and into the evening. I only traveled downstairs to partake of dinner that was a sandwich based on Mary's efforts in the kitchen. She took care of the fur-children's need to go out while I followed my plan.
I did get an email that Mary was watching her favorite apocalyptic movie, The Day After Tomorrow, and that while she had been productive, the kitchen was a disaster. I promised to "Tune Up" the kitchen later, which I finished a short time ago.
Speaking of college football, the Spartans of MSU dispatched the Terrapins of Maryland, 24 - 3. The Terrapins were never in the game. Shortly after that game, I segued into the game between the Wolverines of Michigan and the Nittany Lions of Penn State. The Nittany Lions weren't in that game either, as the Wolverines totaled the Nittany Lions, 42 - 7. Sadly, my third game was between the Wildcats of Northwestern and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The Wildcats were overcome, 21 - 31, by the Irish.
Today, the Bears are supposed to be on TV @ 1:00 p.m. The Bears are leading the NFC North with a record of 4 - 3, while the Bills are bringing up the rear in the AFC East, with a record of 2 - 6.
Otherwise, if that weather forecast is accurate, no walks for the fur-children and we will be lucky to get them to go outside at all. I plan to start another book along with football watching. Ciao.
