Good morning or good evening, wherever you may be. It is nearly 4:00 a.m. in "This City." A current temperature of 43° will lead to today's high of 66°. In GH, the expectation is for icy/snowy conditions with a high temperature of 35°. What else needs to be said?
Yesterday, Mary and I took a ride to the small beach town of Navarre Beach, FL. Well, we tried to, but what we found was a small number of restaurants and a large number of condos. Back on the mainland side of things, we saw a huge number of fast food restaurants and a lot of traffic.
Along the way, we stopped in to a few trading posts and antique stores. Mary got a wall hanging for our garden, and a small cast iron griddle for her kitchen. She plans to try it when she cooks her omelette creation. Mostly we just enjoyed the ride before she has to get back to work today. I never did get to the laundry nor to playing with Abaigeal. Both will happen today.
Otherwise, we discovered that much of this area is a lot like towns in the North, many fast food restaurants, regular restaurants, and scattered grocery and big box stores. Still, I understand why people are here for a few months each year What I don't understand is why they live here when Michigan is a more hospitable climate. Of course, I'm not telling them.
Today, we'll walk with Sugar the Weather Dog, and then I'll collect up the laundry, stay out of Mary's way while she is working, and do as little as possible otherwise.
The sun will rise at 6:41 a.m. and set at 5:21 p.m. In between, I'll laze abut. Ciao.
